If expert pilots force themselves to pilot mechs that are larger than the standard dimensions, then they will find it exponentially more difficult to cover the enlarged mech frame with their true resonance. At a certain point, their resonance shields will not be able to cover the entire frame. This is a fatal defect as the parts of the mech outside of this barrier will no longer enjoy any strong protection."
