The young man, Sirius von Shaka, didn't expect the mermaid king to react this way. Though he knew that he might never understand his side as they are of a different race, as a soldier who dreams to save his people, he truly couldn't keep watching this situation. His race was so terrified that they couldn't even come out of the house. Only those who are desperate for money would still come out to work even if the streets are deserted of living people.
Sirius von Shaka mumbles, "But I became a soldier to save lives and protect my land. If I can't do that, why did I even become a soldier?"
