"Ranran, be careful!"
On the side, Qin Mu's handsome face drastically changed with fear. Without thinking, he immediately pulled Wen Ran in front of himself.
In the hall, the sound of a tray and soup bowl hitting the floor was muffled by the carpet. The scalding soup splattered everywhere, some of it burning the waitress's hand and body as she whimpered in pain.
Wen Ran, pulled by Qin Mu, narrowly dodged the scalding liquid but ended up falling into his arms.
Qin Mu's heart was in his throat as he gripped her wrist tightly, asking anxiously and with concern, "Ranran, did the soup burn you?"
Wen Ran shook her head. Her heartbeat was still irregular from the shock of the moment. She wasn't scalded, but the fear lingered.
If it hadn't been for Qin Mu's timely pull, the soup now spilled on the floor would have been on her instead.
