What the guy wanted to say there remained unannounced, because at that very moment the entire coast was shaken by a monstrous explosion that took place right in the center of the almost collapsed order of pirates. The loss of Craig and Gin made a truly stunning impression on them, as a result of which they clearly did not know what to do next. They stood, as Craig had put them, but by the time of the explosion, already far from ideal, the formation began to come close to the word "pandemonium." As a result, the number of victims from the very first explosion alone amounted to about a hundred people. And then there was another explosion, and another, and another, and another. The explosions followed one after another, and so powerful, as if the shelling on the island was fired not only from the main caliber of a full-fledged battleship of the Marines, but from a "battleship on steroids".
The pirates, like cockroaches frightened by the light, began to scatter in horror in all directions. And it should be noted, to scatter unsuccessfully - there was simply no safe place in the district. In addition to the incessant explosions, the light blue attacks that Yosaku and Johnny knew were soon joined. Like the blade of an invisible, giant Scythe of Death, Zoro's ranged attacks reaped their bloody harvest among the remnants of Don Craig's terrified pirates.
Johnny and Yosaku turned to the shore and saw their captain standing on a wooden pier, around which were placed many boxes of cannonballs, which Luffy threw at the pirates running around the area. All of this, as usual with Luffy, was accompanied by appropriate comments, albeit barely audible amid the cacophony of sounds that reigned around:
- Genkotsu Ryuseigun (Meteor Soul Fist)! You are all dead! This is my grandfather's greetings to you! I suggested that you give up immediately, but you refused, so now die, die! Ha ha ha !!!
Each "die" was accompanied by a powerful shot of canonball, immediately overcoming the sound barrier. Johnny and Yosaku swallowed together. The "battleship on steroids" turned out to be none other than their captain, whose hand, in fact, turned out to be stronger than any cannon they knew. The boys immediately understood why Luffy had never fought any other pirates until today, apart from the incident with the "Trump Family". They, of course, knew that he was monstrously strong, but now it became crystal clear for Johnny and Yosaku that their captain in general could not take anyone into the raid on Craig and still emerge victorious without any problems. No, again, it's not that they didn't know about it initially, but it's one thing to guess and it's quite another to see with your own eyes. And Johnny and Yosaku received the final confirmation that, no matter how wild it may sound, Zoro in their family was not at all the most bloodthirsty person. The guys involuntarily remembered all the swordsman's reservations about Luffy's childhood. Some of them were difficult to believe before, but now, after all they saw, Johnny and Yosaku were much more inclined to believe in them.
Although, admittedly, Luffy's bloodlust looked stronger not so much because of his actions, but because of his words. Unlike Zoro, Luffy did not shut up for a second, literally commenting on both his actions and the pirates' responses ... Even if these very "response" consisted only of a stampede from the shore and the painful screams of wounded people. And because of all these comments, Luffy looked much more bloodthirsty than Zoro. However, if we take the number of pirates killed, then, judging by what Yosaka and Johnny saw, the difference was minimal, with only a slight bias towards Luffy. And even then, this bias was due to the fact that he began to throw cannonballs much earlier than Zoro entered the business with his long-range attacks.
Frankly, when the surrounding pirates called Johnny and Yosaku monsters, and Yosaku stated that they hadn't seen real monsters yet, he still joked more. However, as Luffy and Zoro disembarked and killed several thousand pirates in a matter of minutes, the joke somehow suddenly became frighteningly true. Zoro and Luffy, now they really looked like real monsters. Merciless and invincible monsters.
Ten minutes later, with a few strokes of his katanas, drawn from a black scabbard, chopping the entire fort of Craig into pieces, and burying the pirates who had taken refuge there, Zoro, looking around, said a little displeased:
- What? Is it over already? Boredom.
- But I am personally glad that everything is over, - admitted with a sigh of relief Johnny. - Physically, I feel great, but morally, I somehow turned out to be not ready for the sight of you, along with Luffy ... - here Johnny could not even find the appropriate words, and limited himself to slightly waving his hand , inviting Zoro to take a look at the painting before them.
Now they were standing next to the fort, so they could clearly see the whole area around. Starting from the ships still blazing on the water, continuing the coast plowed by explosions and littered with corpses, and ending with the slope leading to the destroyed Craig Fort, which in its appearance was not much different from the coast.
- I agree, I feel the same, - Yosaku habitually supported his friend. - As long as you are fighting, everything is fine, but when you look from the outside, it becomes somehow uncomfortable. Intellectually, you understand that pirates are dying, most of whom are real bastards, the world will only get better without them, but it's still somehow unpleasant to watch. Like we're actually the worst guys around.
- That's why I didn't take Nami, - Luffy shared, glancing nonchalantly around. - If you really got through, then with her everything would be twenty times worse.
- Honestly, I don't understand your reaction, - shared his thoughts, somewhat puzzled by Zoro, having removed the bandana from his head, was wrapping if around his forearm, at the end, with the help of his right hand and teeth, tying a knot so that the bandana would not fall. He, like Luffy, was unaffected by the genocide of Craig's pirates. - You have probably killed more pirates in the last year than there were any of them here today.
- That's how it is, of course, that's just ... - Yosaku began hesitantly.
- It's just one thing to kill a couple of dozen pirates at a time, and quite another when thousands are dying before your eyes, - Johnny continued for him.
- You yourself just killed several thousand today, - still not understanding, jabbed his thumb in the direction of Zoro's ships continuing to blaze. - Each explosion you set up silenced a hundred, or even more, voices at a time.
- So it's one thing to blow up, and another ... - again unable to find the words, Johnny again moved his hand through the air, as if inviting Zoro to finish his thought, looking at the surrounding Death Kingdom.
Zoro was about to say something again when Luffy decided to intervene. Patting his first mate on the shoulder reassuringly, he said:
- Zoro, calm down, Johnny and Yosaku, unlike you and me, are more defenders than predators, so their thinking is a little different. If there was more at stake than our reputation today, they wouldn't even ask such questions. In this regard, they have a lot in common with Nami.
Frowning, Zoro nevertheless nodded understandingly, refusing to further develop the topic he himself had raised. Instead, he asked something completely different:
- Now what?
- And now we will be waiting for the Marines.
- How long will we have to wait for him? - The swordsman asked displeasedly.
- Not for long, - Luffy immediately reassured him. - The message that we defeated Craig, I sent yesterday morning, so somewhere in eight to ten hours they should be here.
- And why should we wait for them then? Since they already know that everything here is arranged by our hands, so can we just float away?
- First, we need to get all the necessary papers from them so that we get paid for Craig's head. And, secondly, now I'll show you why we still need to stay, - Luffy grinned and, moving a little to the side from the group, began to clear his throat slightly: - Hmm, hmm ... Check, Check ... Attention of all surviving pirates! - Luffy's voice changed somehow oddly. On the one hand, it looked as if the guy spoke in his usual voice, and on the other, standing next to the destroyed fort, almost at the highest point of the island, his voice reached even the most remote corners of the far from small piece of land surrounding them without any problems. - In a few hours, the patrol ships will arrive here, so everyone who wants to save their lives must immediately go to the coast, next to the fort. All others who refuse to surrender will be killed. I have the power of the Devil Fruit, which allows me to feel any living creatures for many kilometers around, so do not even hope to hide and wait out. I will find you all and I will kill you! I give you half an hour to get to the coast, after which we all go hunting.
