Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Principal Office

They got to the office, went inside and sat down. Mr. John slammed the door. "Why were you four fighting? Explain now." Mr. John demanded. They looked at each other. "Never mind that question. Who started the fight?" asked Mr. John as he sat down. "Well, the funny thing is that-" Amy started to talk until "I did, Mr. John!" Cristy says. "What are you doing?" Amy whispers to Cristy. "I'm trying to save your butt. Plus I technically did start the fight." Cristy whispers back. "... True, but I threw the first punch." Amy whispers, "Twice." she adds. "Why were you four fighting?"asked the principal. They got quiet and didn't know what to say. The principal looked mad, "We don't need your shenanigans today." he told them. The four of them look at the principal. The principal sighs, "With that said; you four will have detention for two weeks, but I want you all to leave for today." said Mr. John. "What!?" the girls said loudly as the boys stayed quiet. Mr. John looks at the four friends, "One week for the boys. It doesn't seem like they were actually a part of the fight." he says. The four of them apologized as Mr. John gets up from his seat, "The school board is coming today and I don't trust you four to be on your best behavior, so go home and reflect on what you did. And don't do it again." he says strictly. "Yes sir." the four say in unison as they hang their heads in shame. "This is ridiculous and so early in the morning." Mr. John mumbles as he gets up; "Classes haven't even started and yet you four have already got into a fight." he says while walking to the door. The four friends looked over at the principal. The principal opens the door and the four friends get up, slowly walking towards the door. The principal  sighs then pushes them out of the office, with disappointment,  quickly closing the door behind them.
