Chapter 6 - Chapter 4: WHEN DAY BREAKS part 1

Alright, so we're finally going to find out what the hell happened to the Sun, huh?" Mammon said, with his mouth full of food. "Took you long enough, didn't it?"

"Everything I do has a purpose," Frost replied calmly. "The reason I showed you the first two viewings was for your benefit, in order to give you a glimpse of what's to come."

Lucifer frowned at Frost's words. He had been suspicious of the observer from the start, but he couldn't deny that the viewings had been useful. The fact that the Sun was at the center of all this only made the situation more alarming and dangerous for all of humanity.

He sighed quietly, wondering, 'What will Sera think when she finds out about this?'

"Alright, everyone!" Frost's voice broke the tension. "Shall we begin?" His question drew everyone's attention as they turned to face the screen, which flickered to life.

[The human find the access tunnel, hidden when a natural cave a mile off the main road.]

[The human doesn't need the keycard. The door is ajar.]

[It smells here. It smells like them. Hopefully, they moved on. He come so far already. He can't turn back now.]

"Well, that's not creepy at all," Blitzø muttered, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Who in their right mind would go poking around in a place like that?"

"That's... not a good sign," Lucifer murmured, his brow furrowing. "If this is an SCP facility, why is the door just... open? Those places are supposed to be locked down tighter than Hell's vaults."

Alastor, however, leaned forward, his grin widening. "Oh, this is getting deliciously ominous." He said with an amused tone, "I do love a good mystery, especially when it involves a touch of danger."

Lucifer shot him a glare. "This isn't a game, Alastor. If this is connected to the Sun, then it's serious."

"Oh, I'm well aware," Alastor replied back, smiling at the King of Hell, "But one must appreciate the theatrics, don't you think?"

"Alright, Frost," Satan finally spoke up, "What exactly are we supposed to be seeing here? And what does this have to do with the Sun?"

"Patience," Frost said simply, "All will be revealed in due time."

Alastor, with his signature grin plastered across his face, couldn't help but chuckle to himself. It seemed their host had a rather 'unique' way of delivering entertainment, something he could certainly appreciate.

[There is a slick trail that leads from the cave sentence and into the depths of the site, if it's blood or shit - or something that smeared off one of those things, he cannot tell. He makes a point to avoid it.]

[He's still receiving the distress signal. It only started broadcasting yesterday. Whoever it is, he pray they're still alive.]

[His footsteps echo throughout empty corridors. Each footfall sounds for all the world like a dozen, as if he's not treading through the dark alone.]

[Elevator is down, so he take the stairs, ending on floor B5. Keter Holding. He pass several empty containment chambers. The horrors they once held are long gone.]

[If he's lucky.]

"Keter?" Lilith repeated, "That's the highest classification for the SCPs. Whatever was held here... it's not something you'd want to mess with."

"A distress signal?" Charlie murmured, her voice soft with concern. "Do you think someone's trapped down there?"

"Or something," Husk muttered darkly, taking another swig from his bottle. "This whole place reeks of trouble."

"That's... not normal," Vaggie said, her eyes narrowed at the sight, "Either those creatures already abandoned the facility or...."

"Or they never left," Asmodeus finished, "Either way, that human better be careful, who knows what kind of creatures are lurking down there."

[The trail takes him to an office branching off the main hall, the source of the signal. The door is cracked open, but stuck. He plant his feet, push with all his might.]

[Something skitters out of one of the rooms to his left and around the corner before he can get a good look at it. His first thought is 'dog'.]

[It was on the ceiling, though.]

"What the hell was that?" Seviathan barked, his scales bristling. "Did anyone else see that?"

"It moved way too fast," Helsa noticed, her eyes narrowed at the screen, "And it didn't sound... normal."

"A dog?" Nifty repeated, her voice hopeful but hesitant. "Maybe it's just a stray that got trapped down here?"

"On the ceiling? Yeah fuck that!" Angel Dust exclaimed, his usual bravado faltering. "What kind of dog walks on the damn ceiling?!"

"That's not a dog," Mammon said flatly, his expression darkening. "Whatever that thing is, it's seriously fucked up."

"He needs to get out of there," Leviathan's right head said, "That thing could come back any second."

"Or it's already waiting for him," Leviathan's left head muttered, her tone grim. "This whole place feels like a death trap."

"Ugh, that's creepy." Coco whispered to Apple.

"Tell me about it, and I bet it's going to get a lot weirder." Apple whispered back.

[He take refuge in the room, slam the door behind you, it's dark here. He's safe. He take off his jacket and head wrap. It'd be a damn shame to die from something like hyperthermia after all that's happened. ]

[The sole operating emergency light rotates on its casing, casting a pale orange glow across the room every other second.]

[As if the room itself had a pulse.]

The group watched intently as the scene unfolded on the screen. The human, visibly exhausted and frantic, slammed the door shut behind him, sealing himself in the dark, eerie room. The tension in the air was palpable, even among the observers.

"Safe? For now, maybe," Lucifer muttered under his breath, his arms crossed. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was off about the room itself.

Husk frowned, his ears twitching. "That light's creepy as hell. It's like the room's alive or something. You can feel it, can't you? That... rhythm, like a heartbeat."

Alastor's grin widened, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Oh, how delightful! A room with a pulse! It's almost poetic, isn't it? A living, breathing space, perfectly unsettling. I must say, Frost, your choice of presentation is 'exquisite'."

Frost remained silent, his expression unreadable as the group continued to react.

Tom Trench shuddered. "I don't like this. That guy thinks he's safe, but... something's wrong. I can feel it in my bones."

"Ugh, just get over yourself already." Katie Killjoy muttered, "That human is safe and those things are probably gone by now."

Paimon looks at the room with disgust, do all of the commoners really lived like this? He was thankful that ALMOST all of his sons don't have to deal with this.

The group fell silent, their eyes glued to the screen as the orange light continued to pulse, casting its eerie glow over the room. The sense of dread grew with each rotation, as if the room's heartbeat were syncing with their own.

[There's shelving haphazardly placed behind the door, a barricade. He scan the room. Soiled clothes, half eaten food. Despite the presence of an adjoining restroom, there is excrement in a bucket in the corner. A pneumatic chamber on the Northern wall could have been delivering consumables to the occupant.]

[The trail terminates in the corner of the room, forming a sick puddle. He spot three pharmacy bottles, further inspection reveals them to be various oploids. They're all empty.]

The room on the screen was a chaotic mess, and the group watched with a sense of unease as the human took in his surroundings. The haphazard barricade of shelving, the soiled clothes, the half-eaten food, it all painted a grim picture of desperation.

"Looks like someone was living like a rat in here," Andrealphus remarked, wrinkling his nose in disgust. "And what's with the bucket in the corner? Couldn't they just use the restroom? Gross."

Vortex's ears flattened as he stared at the screen. "The guy's not just hiding. He's been 'surviving'. Look at those empty pill bottles. Opioids. Whoever was here before him was in bad shape... physically and mentally."

Vox's eyes narrowed as he took in the details. "This isn't just a random room. It's a containment facility. That pneumatic chamber on the wall, it's for delivering supplies. Whoever was here before was locked in for a long time."

Alastor's grin widened, his crimson eyes gleaming with dark amusement. "Oh, how delightful! A little slice of human despair, served fresh. I do love a good mystery. What do you suppose happened to the previous occupant? Did they escape? Or did something... else happen to them?"

[There's a desk with a computer atop it. Approaching the terminal, he can clearly see the blinking light of the power button.]

[He take a seat. Turn it on.]

"Secure. Contain. Protect?" Crimson repeated, "That's the SCP Foundation's motto. Whatever's on that computer, it's not just information, it's a warning."

Wally Wackford's tail flicked nervously. "I say I say I don't like this. That loading screen... it's like the room's alive, waiting to show him something he's not ready to see."

Striker crossed his arms, trying to appear unfazed. "Yeah, well, he's not the only one. What the hell are we supposed to be learning from this, Frost? Some guy sitting in a dirty room with a creepy computer?"

Frost's calm voice cut through the tension. "Patience. The answers are coming. But pay attention, the footsteps outside the door are just as important as what's on that screen."

[He hear footsteps just outside the door.]

[Every first step comes down heavy, the second drags down behind it.]

As if on cue, the sound of footsteps echoed through the room on the screen. The heavy, dragging steps sent a shiver down the spines of everyone watching.

"Those footsteps..." Beelzebub muttered, her eyes widened in alarm, "That's not human. Not entirely, anyway. The way it drags... it's like whatever's out there is hurt. Or... not quite alive."

Vox's expression darkened, "Or it's something pretending to be hurt. To lure him out. This whole place is a trap."

The group fell silent again, their eyes glued to the screen as the footsteps grew louder. The human in the room froze, his eyes darting toward the door as the computer continued to load, the words {Secure. Contain. Protect.} flashing ominously.

Frost's voice broke the silence, calm but foreboding. "Watch closely. The truth is about to reveal itself. And when it does... you'll understand why the Sun is only the beginning."

[As dark shape blots out the light streaming in through the slit between the floor and the doorway.]

As the words {Loading...} appeared repeatedly on the laptop, the tension in the room grew palpable. The demons leaned forward, their eyes fixed on the screen as their anxiety keeps mounting with each passing second.

The demons collectively held their breath as the screen focused on the thin line of light beneath the door. Slowly, something moved, a dark, amorphous shape creeping across the gap, blocking the light entirely.

"What... what is that?" Nifty whispered, her voice trembling. "Is it... is it coming closer?"

"Shut up, shut up, shut up," Angel Dust muttered, his usual bravado completely gone as he clutched the edges of his seat as his eyes widened in fear, "I don't like this. I don't like this at all."

"Oh no, oh no, oh no," Kat whispered as his voice was barely audible by the tension, "This is bad. This is really, really bad."

Ace and Josh were holding their hands together, and were hoping that thing out there leave the human alone.

{Authenticating...}

[He tense up, waiting with baited breath, praying it will pass.]

[He damn the deafening thumping of his heart for betraying your position.]

The group watched in silence, their own hearts pounding in sync with the human's, as the screen shows the door outside of his hiding spot, where the dark, amorphous shape moved slowly, its form barely visible in the dim light. The sound of its guttural breathing filled the room, sending chills down everyone's spines.

"Oh no, no, no," Finn whispered as his voice trembled. "It's right there. It's right fucking there."

"Shut up, Finn," Helsa hissed, though her own voice was barely above a whisper. "He just needs to stay quiet. If it hears him..."

The Egg Bois were holding onto Sir Pentious tightly to which he hugs back.

'Thisss isn't going to end well if the past viewingssss keep causing the humans to die.'

[The shadow recedes. He breathe a sigh of relief just as the screen comes to life...]

The group collectively exhaled, the tension in the room easing slightly. "Thank fuck," Cherri Bomb muttered, leaning back into her seat, "I thought that thing was gonna find him for sure."

"Don't celebrate just yet," Velvette said, her voice tight. "That place is probably crawling with those things. He's not out of the woods for now."

"Hey at least we finally get to know what's on that screen." Octavia said, hopefully whatever's on that laptop will hold the key to many questions they had.

{Description:}

[SCP-001 is the designation given to the Sun, after an event on [SYSTEM ERROR] Data lost: ec172. Contact SysAdmin. resultingin ~6.8 billion casualties within the first twenty-four hours.]

"6.8 BILLION?!!!!"

The staggering number of humans affected by the Sun sent shockwaves through the room, leaving everyone utterly stunned. The sheer scale of the catastrophe was beyond comprehension.

Lucifer's eyes widened in horror. Not only were the majority of humans trapped on Earth, but they were also unable to ascend to Heaven or descend to Hell. It was, quite literally, Hell on Earth. His mind raced with questions: *What the hell is going on? Where is Father? He created the Sun—why can't he just undo this?*

Charlie gasped, her hands flying to her mouth as the weight of the situation hit her. She doubled over, retching into her bucket, horrified by the thought of so many innocent lives being twisted into those grotesque, melted forms. The realization that there was no cure only made it worse.

Vaggie's mind reeled, struggling to process the sheer speed at which the Sun had affected humanity. "Most people are out during the day," she muttered, her voice trembling. "Of course it spread so fast. But... 6.8 billion?!"

Angel Dust's usual bravado crumbled as the reality sank in. The idea that billions of people had melted under the Sun's influence—and were technically still alive—was too much to bear. He gagged, joining Charlie in emptying his stomach into his bucket.

Husk dropped his bottle, the liquid spilling unnoticed as he stared at the screen in disbelief. "Billions... just... gone like that," he muttered, his voice hollow. "This is... this is beyond messed up."

Even Alastor, felt a flicker of fear for the first time. His grin remained, but his eyes betrayed his unease. He noticed the redacted details in the report, his mind racing. 'Was the Sun manipulated by some higher power?' He had a sneaking suspicion of who might be behind this, and it sent a chill down his spine.

Niffty... well, you don't want to know what her reaction is like.

Sir Pentious fainted on the spot, collapsing into his seat as soon as the number was mentioned. The sheer scale of the catastrophe was too much for him to handle.

Blitzø stared at the screen, his usual snark replaced by sheer horror. "How the hell am I supposed to get paid for killing humans if they're already... like that?!" he exclaimed, his voice cracking. "This is a fucking nightmare!"

Moxxie was hyperventilating, his hands clutching his head as he tried to process the enormity of the situation. Millie, though equally shaken, did her best to comfort him, though her own hands were trembling.

Loona's fur stood on end, a low whine escaping her throat. "Maybe... maybe we should find a new line of work," she muttered, her voice barely audible. "Something that doesn't involve going to the human world. Ever."

Stolas's expression was one of pure dread. He had known the situation was dire, but this... this was beyond anything he could have imagined. "This is worse than we thought," he murmured, his voice heavy with despair. "Far worse."

The rest of the audience was no less affected. Octavia, Coco, Apple, Ace, Josh, Kat, Kiki, Milky, Wally Wackford, Sallie Mae, and Tom Trench all reached for their buckets, the sheer horror of the situation making them physically ill.

Cherri Bomb, Joe, Lin, Vortex, Striker, Crimson, the Egg Bois, Katie Killjoy, Fizzarolli, Seviathan, Helsa, and Fin were frozen in place, paralyzed by fear. The scale of the disaster was too vast to comprehend.

Valentino, Vox, Velvet, Rosie, Andrealphus, Paimon, Beelzebub, Mammon, Belphegor, Leviathan, and Lilith sat in stunned silence. They had expected casualties, but nothing on this scale. The sheer devastation left them speechless.

Asmodeus, usually the picture of confidence, looked genuinely afraid. "I need to recall every Succubus and Incubus from the human world," he muttered, his voice uncharacteristically serious. "They'll be furious, but it's the only way to keep them safe."

Satan's anger was palpable, his grip on the armrest so tight it nearly splintered. "This... this breaks the natural order," he growled, his voice low and dangerous. "If Frost hadn't shown us this, we might never have known."

Verosika, on the verge of a breakdown, finally snapped. The realization that she and her crew could have been turned into one of those monstrosities was too much. She fainted, slumping in her seat.

Frost, ever calm, allowed the group a few minutes to collect themselves. The room was a mix of retching, hyperventilating, and stunned silence. Once everyone had somewhat recovered, he spoke. "Take a moment to breathe. When you're ready, we'll continue."

The room was heavy with tension as Frost prepared to resume the viewing. Whatever came next, it was clear that the worst was yet to come.

[The SCP-001 effect does not seem to result from exposure to ultraviolet rays, but rather light in the visual spectrum (~390 to 700 nm). The effect is similarly present in moonlight.]

The room fell silent for a moment as everyone soon processed the information. Then, chaos erupted.

"Wait, wait, wait," Octavia stammered, her voice rising in panic as her eyes widened in shock, "You're telling me it's not just the Sun? It's any light?! Even moonlight?!!"

"That's what it says," Joe answered, her tone strained with unease. "If this is accurate, then nowhere is safe. It doesn't matter if it's day or night, light itself is the issue."

Sallie Mae's face paled as the gravity of the situation hit her. "But... but that means there's no escape." She whispered, her voice trembling in despair. "If even moonlight can cause the same effect, then... then everyone is at risk, at all the times."

Lucifer's expression darkened, his fists clenching his armrests. "This is worse than I thought." He muttered, his face paled in realisation, "If light itself is the trigger, then this isn't just a catastrophe, it's an extinction-level event."

Angel Dust was freaking out from this realisation, "So what?! We're just supposed to live in the dark now?! How the fuck is that supposed to work?!"

"It's not just about living in the dark," Alastor interjected, his grin still present but his tone unusually serious. "It's about 'surviving' in the dark. If light is the enemy, then humanity, and by extension, all of us, are facing a fundamental shift in how we exist."

Husk, who had been unusually quiet, finally spoke up. "So, what? We're all just supposed to become mole people or something? Live underground forever? That's... that's insane."

"Insane or not, it might be the only option," Stolas said, his tone heavy with concern. "If the effect is tied to light in the visual spectrum, then avoiding it entirely is the only way to prevent further... transformations."

"This is bad," Moxxie repeated, his voice barely above a whisper as he slowly rocked back and forth, "Really, really bad. If this spreads... if it's not contained..."

"It already has spread," Satan said grimly, his hands clawing at his seat, "6.8 billion humans, imp, this isn't just a localized disaster. This is a global calamity."

The room fell silent again, the weight of the situation pressing down on everyone. The idea that light itself, something so fundamental to life could be the source of such horror was almost too much to comprehend.

Frost, who had been quietly observing the group's reactions, finally spoke. "This is why I brought you here," He began, his tone calm but firm, "To understand the scale of what we're facing. The SCP-001 effect is not just a threat to humanity, it's a threat to the very fabric of existence. And if we don't find a way to stop it, there may be no future for any of us."

The group exchanged uneasy glances, the reality of Frost's words sinked in. Whatever lay ahead, it was clear that they were facing a challenge unlike anything they had ever encountered before.

"So what's next?" Loona asked, her voice barely audible by this sickening realization.

Frost's expression remained unreadable. "We keep watching," he said simply. "And we prepare for what comes next."

[Upon contact with visible light produced by the sun, living organisms liquefy at the point of contact, with the effect spreading until the entire organism is converted. Visually, this is reminiscent of melting wax. The time this takes is largely dependent on the level of exposure and size of the organism. Despite this restructuring, at no point do living organisms perish.]

The room erupted into chaos once this terrifying revelation appeared right in their faces, despite what Frost have told them during the last viewing, they didn't actually believe it until they saw it with their own eyes.

"What the hell?!" Striker shouted, slamming his cup down on the armrest. "They melt?! And they don't even die?! What kind of twisted shit is this?!"

Charlie gasped, her hands flying to her mouth as the screen showed a time-lapse of a human being exposed to sunlight. The person's skin soon began to bubble and liquefy, their body soon collapsed into a grotesque, writhing puddle. She turned away and retched into her bucket as she cried miserably.

"This... this is horrifying," Vaggie whispered, her voice trembling with a mix of horror and rage. "They're alive the whole time? Just... melting? How is that even possible?"

Valentino's face paled, his usual confidence shattered. "This isn't just death," He said, his voice low and strained. "This is... something worse. Eternal suffering. This is Hell on Earth, literally."

Angel Dust, who had been trying to maintain his usual bravado, finally broke. "They're alive?!" He shrieked, as his voice cracked slightly. "They're just... melting, and they can't even die? That's... that's fucking sick!"

Moxxie and Millie clung to each other, their faces pale with terror. "This is... this is too much," Moxxie stammered, his voice barely audible. "How are we supposed to fight something like this?"

Stolas who was usually composed, looked utterly shaken. "This isn't just a threat to humanity," He said, his tone hollowed in despair. "This is a threat to all life. If this spreads unchecked... there's no telling what could happen."

[Upon completion, these organisms (SCP-001-A) take on a gelatinous consistency. Motile organisms will attempt to orient themselves in a fashion reminiscent of their previous form, to varying degrees of success.]

The screen then showed footage of the gelatinous masses, known as SCP-001-A attempting to move. Some vaguely resembled their original forms, with limb-like protrusions flailing awkwardly, while others were little more than amorphous blobs, oozing and quivering as they tried to navigate their surroundings.

"They're... trying to move like they used to," Lin said, her voice trembling. "But they can't. They're just... stuck like that. Forever."

Paimon's expression was dark as his fists clenched at his sides. "This is an abomination!" He growled, "No living being should have to endure something like this. It's a violation of everything that's natural."

Alastor, for once, wasn't grinning. His usual amusement was replaced by a rare look of unease. "Even I must admit, that is... unsettling," He said, his voice lacking its usual playful tone. "To be trapped in such a state, neither alive nor dead... it's a fate worse than Hell itself."

"And it's not just humans," Andrealphus added, his tone heavy with dread. "The report says 'living organisms.' That means animals, plants... everything. If this isn't stopped, the entire world will be reduced to.. that monstrosity."

The room fell into a heavy silence, the weight of the situation pressing down on everyone. The idea that light, something so fundamental to life could cause such a horrific transformation was almost too much to comprehend.

[Flora typically remain physically inert, yet are still capable of photosynthesis, and still produce oxygen. Organisms capable of flight lose the capability to do so. Fauna remain sentient, and display behavior that parallels their non-anomalous counterparts when not absorbed into a collective instance. Humans retain a modicum of sapience and memory.]

The room fell into a heavy silence as the screen showed multiple plants affected by the Sun and multiple species of birds falling from the sky. The once-familiar world had been twisted into something unrecognizable, and the implications were staggering.

"Wait, so the plants are still... doing plant things?" Ace asked as his voice was still shaky. "But they're just... blobs now? How does that even work?"

"Photosynthesis? Oxygen production?" Josh added, his brow furrowed in confusion. "So the plants are still keeping the air breathable, but they're... melted? What kind of twisted logic is that?!"

Charlie wiped her mouth, her face paler than usual but looked hopeful. "If humans are still somewhat sapient, then there's hope. Maybe we can reach them, help them somehow. They're not completely lost, right? They still have memories... they're still them."

Angel Dust crossed his arms and gritted his teeth, "But if they're absorbed into that... collective instance, whatever that means, they're gone. And what about the animals?! Sentient but unable to fly? What kind of twisted reality is this?!"

Vaggie, despite not being an exorcist anymore and had her wings ripped off, she was stuck with a horrifying realization, 'But, what about the rest of the exorcists, if they managed to make contact with the Sun, won't they also melt the same way?' The sickened her to the core which made her face turn green and immediately puked into her bucket.

Sir Pentious, who had just regained consciousness, groaned weakly. "Thisss... this is worse than I could ever imagined. The natural order... it'sss been completely upended. What kind of force could do thisss?"

Blitzø slammed his fist on the armrest, his voice rising in panic. "Okay, but what about us?! If humans are turning into these... these things, how are we supposed to do our jobs?! How are we supposed to get paid?! This is a disaster!"

Octavia's face paled even more with a sudden realization, "If the animals are still sentient but can't fly... what about the ones that rely on flight to survive?" She stammered. "This is... this is beyond anything We've ever seen!!"

Valentino, Vox, and Velvette exchanged uneasy glances. For once, their usual scheming and posturing were replaced by genuine fear. "If this thing reaches us, it's game over," Vox muttered. "We need to figure out who's behind this and shut it down. Fast."

[Biological anomalies exposed to SCP-001 are affected in the same manner. It seems that exposure nullifies any previously expressed anomalous characteristics.]

The room erupted into chaos as soon as the screen dropped the massive bombshell. The revelation that SCP-001 not only affected normal biological life but also nullified the anomalous characteristics of entities exposed to it, sent shockwaves through everyone present. The implications were catastrophic, especially for those whose very existence relied on their anomalous nature.

Lucifer was the first to break the silence, his voice uncharacteristically shaky. "Wait, wait, wait. Are you saying that if WE get exposed to this thing, we lose our powers?! Our immortality!? Our very essence?!! That's not just a threat to the human world, that's a threat to ALL OF CREATION!!!"

Charlie gasped as she placed her hands on her mouth. "If it nullifies anomalies... then what happens to the demons? The angels? To anyone who isn't... normal? This isn't just about saving humans anymore. This is about saving ourselves."

Vaggie clenched her fists, her voice rising in panic. "If this thing can strip us of what makes us who we are, then we're all in danger. We can't fight it if we're powerless. This is worse than we could ever imagine."

Angel Dust let out a nervous laugh, though his usual bravado was nowhere to be found, "Oh, great. So not only do we gotta worry about melting or turning into some freaky collective thing, but we also gotta worry about losing our powers?! Yeah, no thanks. I'm out of here!!"

Husk slammed his bottle down on the armrest as his ears flattened against his head. "This is bad. Real bad. If this thing can strip us of our powers, then we're sitting ducks. We can't fight something that can turn us into... that. We're so fucking screwed."

Alastor's ever-present grin faltered as he processed the information. "How... intriguing. A force that can neutralize the very essence of what makes us unique. This is no mere anomaly, this is a weapon. And if it can affect us, then the stakes have just been raised considerably."

Niffty let out a high-pitched squeak as her usual manic energy replaced by sheer terror. "What happens to me?! What happens to all of us?! Do we just... stop existing? I don't wanna stop existing!!!"

Sir Pentious, let out a strangled cry. "This is an abomination! A violation of the natural order! If it can strip us of our powers, then it can destroy the very fabric of reality! We must stop it at all costs!"

Blitzø was twitching furiously, his tail lashing behind him. "Okay, okay, okay. So, if this thing can turn us into fucking normies, then what's the point of even trying to fight it?! We're dead either way!! This is a lose-lose situation!!!"

Millie and Moxxie clung to each other tightly, "If we lose our powers, we're just... regular imps," Moxxie stammered. "We can't fight this thing if we're powerless! What do we do?!"

Loona growled, her fur bristling as she muttered out loud, "If this thing can strip us of what makes us demons, then we're all in fucking danger. We need to find a way to stop it before it's too late. I'm not gonna let some freaky anomaly turn me into a... a fucking puppet!!"

Stolas stood up straighter as his usual calm demeanor was shattered, "This is beyond anything we've ever faced. If SCP-001 can nullify our powers, then it poses a threat not just to the human world, but to Hell, Heaven, and everything in between. We must act swiftly, and decisively."

Octavia looked at her father as her voice trembled in despair, "Dad... what happens to us if this thing reaches Hell? Do we just... stop being demons? Do we stop being us?"

Cherri Bomb slammed her fist on her armrest, her usual fiery demeanor reignited. "We can't just sit here and panic! If this thing can strip us of our powers, then we need to find a way to fight back before it's too late! I'm not gonna let the freaking Sun turn me into a fucking normie!"

"If this thing can nullify our powers, then we're all in danger." Vox muttered, as powerful as an overlord as he is, not even he can think of anyway to beat the fricking Sun who can nullify their powers.

Rosie frowned, while she normally doesn't rely on her powers often, she doesn't think that the entire cannibal colony can eat faster than the flesh monsters can absorb them, "This is certainly very troubling indeed."

Satan growled as his hands dug into the armrest, "This is an affront to the natural order! If this anomaly isn't stopped, it could destroy everything, Heaven, Hell, the human world... We cannot allow that to happen!!!"

Verosika, who was still recovering from her faint groaned weakly. "If this thing reaches us... we're all done for. We need to find a way to stop it. Now."

The room fell silent once more, the weight of the situation pressing down on everyone. For the first time in a long time, the denizens of Hell and beyond were united by a common goal: to stop SCP-001 before it consumed everything they knew, and everything they were.

If only they knew that fighting back is pointless.

[Due to their composition, instances of SCP-001-A that make contact with one another may combine and blend at the molecular level. This does not seem to cause any pain or distress to the instances, though the resulting bulk can inhibit movement. Since the SCP-001 event, most instances have congregated into such collectives, which seem to possess no maximum volume.]

[The resulting biomass is amorphous and chaotic. The component organisms will shift between a full-to-semi-liquid state -limbs and bodies will rise periodically from within the mass for a short duration, before deteriorating and being subsumed by another life-form.]

[Collective instances will locomote by using their appendages in tandem to carry their mass. Larger instances will form a pseudopod from their constituent life-forms, and drag themselves about in a manner similar to amoeba.]

The room was already on edge, but the latest revelation about SCP-001-A sent a new wave of horror rippling through the group as soon as they saw the large instances of SCP-001-A on the screen. The idea of living beings merging into grotesque, amorphous masses was beyond anything they had imagined. The descriptions of the collective instances, shifting, liquid-like, and constantly reforming, were enough to make even the most hardened among them shudder.

Mammon looked absolutely disgusted by this whole thing, "So, not only do these things lose their individuality, but they... 'merge' into some kind of... living sludge? This is beyond fucked up!!!"

Asmodeus nodded, his usual flamboyance tempered by the gravity of the situation. "If these collective instances can grow indefinitely, then they're a threat to all of us. We need to work together to stop them before it's too late."

Fizzarolli looked at his boyfriend as his body was shaking, "Ozzie... what happens if those things reach Hell? Do they just... absorb everything? Demons, sinners, everyone?"

Beelzebub looked physically ill, as her hands clutching the edge of the table for support. "They're not even in pain... but they're just... blending together? Losing themselves completely? This is... this is worse than death. It's like they're trapped in some kind of... living nightmare." She can't hold her disgust anymore and instantly threw up in her bucket.

Vortex pats her on the back in support, whilst feeling angry about this whole situation, "And they just... move around like that? Forming pseudopods, dragging themselves like some kind of... giant, disgusting amoeba? This is sick. This is wrong."

Crimson gagged as his usual confidence was completely gone once he saw those creatures move on the screen, "Oh, fuck no, That's... that's just fucked up. I know I've seen some freaky stuff, but this?!! This is some next-level shit!!!"

Striker frowned as his tail twitched at the sight, "Okay, so let me get this straight. These things are not only melting and merging, but they're also... 'moving'? Like, dragging themselves around like some kind of freaky slug? Yeah, no. I'm out. I'm officially out."

Wally Wackford let out a scream as he crawled back further from the sigh, "They're... they're just blending together?! Like... like soup? That's... that's fucking disgusting! I don't wanna be soup!"

Joe was comforting his wife as she was bawling her eyes out upon seeing the grotesque sight, "If they're blending together like that... what happens if they reach us?!" Lin stammered. "Do we... do we just get absorbed into that... that thing?!!"

Sallie Mae immediately fainted as she collapsed onto a heap on the floor. The sheer grotesqueness of the description was too much for her to handle.

Belphegor grimaced, her sheep ears flattening against her head. "So, they're not just melting, they're turning into some kind of... living goo? And they're just... okay with it? That's... that's not natural. It's not 'right'."

Leviathan's right head agreed with the Sin of Sloth, "If those things can continue to grow indefinitely, then they're a huge threat. We need to find a way to stop them before they reach us."

Leviathan's left head sighed, "This is beyond anything we've ever faced. These collective instances... they're not just a threat to the human world. If they continue to grow, they could consume everything in their path."

Helsa slammed her fist on the armrest, "We can't just sit here and panic! If there's even a chance we can stop this, we got to take it! I'm not gonna let some fucking flesh monster wipe out everything!"

"If those things can absorb anything in their path, then we're all in danger," Seviathan muttered, "Father needs to know about this and fast."

{Special Containment Procedures:}

Due to its nature, SCP-001 cannot be contained. Survivors of the SCP-001 event stationed within secure facilities are to remain in contact with one another. Personnel are encouraged to attempt to reach Site-19 by any means at their disposal. Personnel with knowledge as to the whereabouts of the O5 Council are to relay this information to the Administrator.]

[Survivors attempting to travel outdoors must fully cover their bodies in protective clothing; preferably several layers. Travel by foot should be limited as much as possible. Cities - and man-made structures in general - provide the greatest protection. Formerly-wooded areas should be circumvented. Travel by air is preferable above all other methods.]

The room fell into a tense silence as they read the Special Containment Procedures,or rather, the lack thereof. The realization that SCP-001 was uncontainable, and that the only option was survival and evasion, sent a chill through everyone present. The instructions were grim, and the implications were even grimmer.

Velvette sighed deeply, "Uncontainable. Of course it is. Why would anything be this fucking simple? So, we're just supposed to... what? Hide? Run? Hope we don't get absorbed into some... some fucking blob? We are so fucked!"

"If we can't contain it, then we have to survive. That's all we can do." Ace said in reluctance, "But... traveling outdoors? Covering ourselves in layers? That's not going to be easy. And what about the cities? Are they really safe?"

"Cities provide the greatest protection? What does that even mean?!" Kiki exclaimed, "Are we just supposed to hole up in some skyscraper and hope for the best? And what happens when the food runs out? The water? This isn't a solution it's a death sentence."

"Oh, great. So, we gotta bundle up like it's the apocalypse and hope we don't get melted into some freaky collective thing? Yeah, no thanks. I'll take my chances staying in hell thank you very much." Milky said in a gruff tone.

Coco shook her head in exasperation, "This is madness. Pure madness. If we cannot contain this... this thing, then what hope do we have? What hope does anyone have?"

"Wait, how is air travel even possible?" Angel Dust questioned. "I'm pretty sure all the other pilots have already been turned into mush by now."

"Maybe a few lucky ones managed to survive," Cherri Bomb suggested. "Their skills would definitely be invaluable, especially if those monsters can't reach the sky."

"Travel by air is preferable? Oh, sure, let's just all hop on a plane and fly away." Valentino said sarcastically, "Like that's an option for everyone. This is a joke, right? This has to be a joke."

Sir Pentious perked up at the conversation. "Actually, my airship can carry quite a number of people. I'd be willing to share my designs if something like this were to happen in our universe," he offered to the group.

The room fell silent as everyone suddenly remembered that Sir Pentious owned an airship fully stocked with enough weapons to deal significant damage to the flesh monsters.

"That would be most appreciated, sinner," Lucifer acknowledged gratefully.

"It's Sir Pentious, Your Majesty," The snake sinner corrected with a hint of pride.

[Personnel exposed to SCP-001 are to be considered lost. Compromised personnel are to be abandoned. Euthanization is not to be attempted.]

The room went eerily silent as soon as they finished reading the directive. The cold, clinical tone of the instructions to abandon the compromised, and do not attempt euthanization, struck a nerve to everyone present. The idea of leaving one of their own behind, watching their friends and allies succumb to the effects of SCP-001 without being given the mercy of a quick death... it was too much to bear.

Angel Dust slammed his fist on his armrest, his voice rising in anger as he shouted, "This is fucking bullshit! We can't just abandon our own! If someone gets exposed, we have to try to save them. We can't just... give up on them like that!"

Husk dropped his bottle in shock as soon as he read that, "Abandoned. Just like that. No second chances, no mercy. This is... this is fucking messed up. Even for me."

"We can't just... leave them! What if it's one of us? What if it's me?!! I don't want to be abandoned!" Moxxie yelled hysterically.

"If one of us gets exposed, we're not just gonna leave them. I don't care what the directive says! We're not abandoning our own!" Millie declared, much to I.M.P relief and gratitude.

Alastor tilted his head, his ever-present grin twitching slightly. "How delightfully grim. The idea of leaving one's comrades to their fate, without even the dignity of a quick death... it's almost poetic, in a horrifying sort of way. But I suppose even I must admit that such a directive is... distasteful."

Paimon cringes at the sight, "To abandon one's own... it's simply unthinkable. But if SCP-001 cannot be contained, and if exposure means becoming part of that... thing... then we must consider abandoning them for the greater good."

"Wait, what?!" Charlie exclaimed, horrified at the idea of leaving people behind if they were exposed to the sun, "We can't just... leave them there to die! We just can't!! There has to be something we can do. Some way to help them. They're not lost yet! They're still alive! They can still be saved!"

"It's for the survivors' safety, Charlie," Vaggie said firmly, surprising Charlie with her stern tone. "There's no cure for them, and we have to move forward... even if it's hard. They'd want the rest of us to survive for their sake."

Charlie noticed Vaggie gripping the armrest tightly, as her knuckles were turning white. Slowly, Charlie placed her hand over Vaggie's to soothe her.

Though she hated the idea, Charlie had to admit that keeping the remaining survivors alive was crucial if they wanted to make it through this apocalypse.

She could only hope that at least some humans had managed to escape and survive.

[Collective instances of SCP-001-A that are of formidable size are to be avoided at all costs. Conductive electrical weapons have proven partially effective at immobilizing instances, and may be used for self-defense. Incendiary weapons work as well. Cryonic munitions are the most effective thus far.]

The room was already tense, but the latest revelation about how to deal with the massive collective instances of SCP-001-A sent a new wave of unease through the group. The idea of facing these grotesque, amorphous masses, and the methods to combat them was both a glimmer of hope and a stark reminder of the horrors they were up against.

Lilith leaned forward, her expression a mix of curiosity and dread. "Conductive electrical weapons? Incendiary weapons? Cryonic munitions? So, we're supposed to fight these things with... tasers, flamethrowers, and freeze rays? That isn't exactly a standard issue for Hell's arsenal."

"If we have to fight these things... we're gonna need a lot of firepower." Vox muttered, his screen twitching as he made a plan, "I better call Carmilla and ask her to make those weapons..."

Valentino grumbled, "Where the hell are we supposed to get those guns? This isn't exactly a sci-fi movie. We're not exactly stocked up on freeze rays."

Sir Pentious's hood opens up as he's the only technician in the theatre, "Finally, my one chance to put my skillsssss to good use!! I'll get started to work on those weapons as soon as we leave this place!"

Cherri Bomb smirked as she nudged Sir Pentious's shoulder and whispered, "Hey Pent, can you do me a favour and craft me some ice bombs? Maybe we can put aside our rivalry if you do this one small favour..."

Sir Pentious's face lit up in embarrassment as he stammered, "Ye-yess, a-anything for you Cherri.."

"So, cold weapons are highly effective against those creatures, huh?" Andrealphus smirked, confident that his mastery of ice magic would make him an invaluable asset.

"And it seems flamethrowers work just as well against them," Moxxie added, before turning towards his boss, "Blitzø, I strongly recommend that we stock up on flamethrowers and grenades in case we run into any of those things."

"Alright, alright," Blitzø replied with a dismissive wave of his hand, "Might as well grab some of those weapons if we're gonna deal with those fuckers."

Lucifer glanced at Andrealphus, a thought crossing his mind. 'I wonder if Andrealphus would be willing to teach Charlie some ice magic. We've never really had the time to teach her more advanced spells. Though, she does seem to have a natural affinity for fire... Still, I need to be extra careful if I want to keep her safe.'

[Testing has revealed that SCP-001-A is relatively safe to consume. This is only to be considered as a last resort in the absence of other options. As SCP-001-A may reconstitute within the digestive system, only small portions should be consumed at a time to prevent blockage.]

The room erupted into a cacophony of disgust and disbelief as the idea of consuming SCP-001-A, the grotesque, amorphous biomass, that had once been living beings was beyond comprehension. The fact that it was even considered an option, let alone deemed 'relatively safe', was enough to make everyone recoil in horror.

Mammon spit out his popcorn when he reads the text on the screen, "Consume it? Consume it?! Are you out of your fucking mind?!! That's... that's disgusting. I don't CARE how 'relatively safe' it is, I'm not eating that piece of human shit!!

Beelzebub looked physically ill, and was clutching her stomach as if she might throw up into her bucket, "We can't... we can't eat that!! That's... that's not food! THAT'S PEOPLE!! This is... this is.. I can't even imagine just what it even tastes like!!!."

Tom Trench's soul looked like it wanted to come out of his gas mask, "This is... This is fucking insane! We're not animals! We're not gonna resort to... to cannibalism just to survive! There has to be another way!"

Apple almost threw up her lunch upon reading this information, "Oh, fuck no! I don't care how hungry I am, I'm not eating that freaking blob stuff!!! No way! No how!"

Asmodeus nearly puked reading the text, "If it comes down to survival... we may have no choice. But we must exhaust every other option before resorting to such... drastic measures."

"I-I guess it's possible... since they're technically still h-human..." Cherri Bomb stammered, looking queasy and on the verge of vomiting.

Husk felt like he was about to suffer another hangover, but then he remembered the two cannibals in the room and glanced over at Alastor and Rosie.

Rosie's eyes lit up with excitement as she realized the flesh was safe to consume, a slight drool forming at the thought of the delicious meal.

"Oh, Alastor, isn't it simply delightful that they're edible?" She asked her friend and fellow Overlord.

Alastor's grin widened as he turned to Rosie. "Indeed, Rosie. It's been far too long since I last savored the taste of human flesh."

[Personnel stationed at Site-19 are to pursue research concerning off-world colonization. Shuttles must be constructed as to not allow light to penetrate the interior.]

The room fell into a stunned silence. The idea of fleeing Earth entirely to escape SCP-001 was both a glimmer of hope and a stark reminder of how dire the situation had become and the fact that shuttles had to be constructed to block out light entirely only underscored the terrifying nature of the threat they faced.

"Off-world colonization? Are you serious? We're talking about leaving Earth? The entire planet? This... this is beyond anything I ever imagined. And shuttles that block out light? There's no way they can run from the fucking Sun itself?" Lucifer grumbled, at least that plan is better than cannibalization.

Charlie looked up at the screen, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and determination. "If the humans have to leave Earth... then they have to. But... shuttles that can block out light? That's not going to be easy. And what about everyone else? We can't just leave them behind!"

Vaggie crossed her arms and said, "Charlie, if the Sun is causing whatever's happening to them, they don't have a choice. Staying means certain death. They're trying to survive."

Angel Dust leaned back on his seat, "Pfft, good luck with that. Blockin' out all the light? Sounds like a pain in the ass. And what happens if they screw up? Boom! Melted humans everywhere! They are royally screwed that's for sure."

Alastor grinned widely with his voice dripping with amusement, "Oh, how delightful! The humans are finally realizing their world is beyond saving. But off-world colonization? How quaint. I wonder if they'll succeed or if this is just another futile attempt to escape their inevitable demise."

Niffty leaned closer to the screen, "Ooh, shuttles! That sounds fun! Can we build one too?! I'll clean it! I'll make sure it's spotless!"

Sir Pentious perked up as his eyes gleamed, "Ah, a most intriguing endeavor! My airship designs could easily be adapted for such a purpose. Perhaps I should offer my sssservices to these humansss. They would greatly benefit from my genius!"

Blitzø snorts, "Yeah, good luck with that, snake boy. Last time you tried to build something, it blew up in your face. Literally." He reminded Sir Pentious's latest battle against Cherri Bomb.

Moxxie looked thoughtful for a moment, "Actually, constructing light-proof shuttles isn't a terrible idea. If they can pull it off, it might be their only chance. But the logistics are... daunting."

Valentino scoffed as he read this information, "So the humans are going to leave Earth, big deal! How the hell are they going to that in the first place! With those creatures running around, it's going to be impossible to craft a spaceship in time!"

Charlie clenched her fists in determination, "No! We can't just sit here and do nothing! If the humans are trying to save themselves, we should help! Maybe we can find a way to protect them from the Sun or... or something!"

Vaggie placed a hand on Charlie's shoulder, "Charlie, I admire your optimism, but this is way out of our league. We're demons, not miracle workers."

Alastor chuckled darkly, "Oh, but where's the fun in that, my dear? Let the humans struggle. Their despair is simply 'delicious'."

Charlie glared at Alastor, "This isn't about fun! This is about saving lives! If there's even a small chance we can help, we have to try!"

The room fell silent again as the group processed Charlie's words. Despite their differences, they all knew that she was right. Whether they liked it or not, the fate of the humans, and potentially their own, was tied to this desperate plan.

And so, with a mix of reluctance and resolve, the demons of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss began to brainstorm ways to assist the humans in their quest for survival. After all, if anyone understood desperation, it was them.

Tch, those fools don't know what true desperation really looks like.

[To those of you with families, or God forbid, children - I'm deeply, deeply sorry, you must push on. Do not let their deaths be in vain. We do still have time.]

[Humanity may still have a future. Come to Site-19. We need all the hands we can get.]

[Learn to embrace the darkness, friends. Fear the light.]

[- The Administrator]

The room fell into a heavy silence as the familiar message from The Administrator echoed through the air. The directive to push on, to not let the deaths of loved ones be in vain, was a stark reminder of the stakes they were facing. The idea of embracing the darkness and fearing the light was chilling, but it also carried a strange sense of hope a hope that, against all odds, humanity might still have a future.

Charlie looked up, her eyes brimming with tears, she has dedicated her life to redeeming sinners and that hasn't changed, but now she will also help to protect humanity against this overwhelming crisis, "We can't give up. Not now. Not ever. If there's even a chance that humanity can survive, that they can build a future... then they have to take it. No matter how hard it is. No matter how much it hurts."

Vaggie clenched her fists, despite killing sinners who were technically human for most of her life, she can't just sit back and watch as the humans struggle to survive against the daylight, "We're not gonna let their deaths be in vain. We're not. We're gonna fight. We're gonna survive. And we're gonna make sure that no one forgets what happened here."

Angel Dust let out a shaky breath, he made the biggest mistake of his life and now that he's free, he doesn't know what to do now, but he will help the humans out in any way he can, "I don't know if I can do this. I don't know if I'm strong enough. But... but I gotta try. For them."

Husk sighed heavily, he took the biggest gamble of his life and now he's already paying for it, but if there's a slimmer of hope for humanity, then they have to take it unlike himself, "Fear the light... never thought I'd hear that in my lifetime. But if it means surviving, then I guess we're all gonna have to learn to live in the shadows."

Alastor, ever the enigma, tilted his head thoughtfully. His grin was still present, but it lacked its usual malice, "How fascinating," He mused, "The light, once a symbol of hope, is now our greatest enemy. I must admit, this is a twist I didn't see coming."

Blitzø, still reeling from the shock, as he clenched his fists, he doesn't know what to do now since the Sun can potentially change just like the one on the screen, but since his business revolves entirely on killing humans and that they're busted for committing a crime, they might just have to help humanity instead, "If there's still a chance to save humanity or what's left of it, then fuck it let's go for it. But let's be real, this is gonna be a helluva shitshow."

Millie and Moxxie exchanged worried glances towards one another, they wouldn't known each other in the first place if Blitzø haven't introduced to them, they owe a lot to him and with the realisation that they may end up as a horrific sludge monster, they would cherished the limited time that they had, with each other. Millie reached for Moxxie's hand and squeezed it tightly. "We stick together, no matter what," She said firmly. Moxxie nodded, though his breathing was still uneven. "Right. Together. No matter the odds."

Loona let out a low whine, while she wouldn't admit it, she was actually grateful that Blit- her dad adopted her, and she wants to repay that kindness back by helping him save humanity, "I don't like this. Not one bit. But if there is a small chance that they might survive, then... fine. Let's do it."

Stolas straightened his posture, the entire arrangement with Blitzø was not only to get laid by him, but also to spend time with him, and if Blitzø wants to help save humanity, then he also wants to participate as well, "If The Administrator believes that there's still hope, then we must act. Time is of the essence. We cannot afford to waste another moment. We may have to actually reveal our existence if we want to help them."

Octavia leaned into her father's shoulder, she was still confused about her family's marriage problems, however this situation is far bigger than that right now, if her father was willing to help the humans out then why can't she do the same,"Dad, this won't be easy, but if we all work together, maybe we can help save them."

Lucifer, for all his bravado, felt a rare pang of guilt. He had always seen humanity as flawed, but the idea of innocent children suffering because of the Sun's wrath was something he couldn't brush off. His usual smirk was gone and replaced by a grim expression. "Push on?" He muttered under his breath. "Easier said than done, but this is something that Heaven can't ignore, I need to tell Sera and even... Adam about this scenario, we must be ready to prevent humanity's destruction."

With that, the group began to prepare for the journey ahead. The darkness was no longer something to fear, it was their only refuge. And as they steeled themselves for what was to come, one thing was clear: they would not let the deaths of so many be in vain. Humanity's future depended on them.

You shouldn't care about humanity's future, you should care about YOUR future instead.
