"Don't move, I'll send someone to pick you up right now," Li Qingshen said before hanging up the phone. He dialed another number, instructing in a low voice, "Drive to near the Jiale Garden Supermarket on Safety Road and pick up a girl, then take her to the Imperial Palace."
Li Qingshen then stepped on the accelerator and headed towards Safety Road.
When Li Qingshen arrived, the car he had sent to pick up Ling Momo hadn't yet arrived.
He parked not far away. The rain was pouring down heavily, and Ling Momo was squatting by the side of the road, her head buried in her knees, in a pitiful and aggrieved posture. Li Qingshen felt an increasing ache in his heart, and he couldn't help pushing open the car door.
However, just as he opened the car door, Li Qingshen thought that she had taken Enson's call but not his, proving that she did not want to see him at the moment.
Maybe she didn't even want to hear anything about him.
