Kason could hear Misty and Jay begin to eat. Though he focused on the plate in front of him, Kason was aware Misty was nervous. He was happy for his friend that he found his mate. Never in a million years could he have guessed that Jay's mate would also be his mate. Add into the fact that the only reason that Misty had mated with him was to save him from the leech and he was unsure of himself. Normally, compatible lovers would have plenty of time to learn about each other before attempting a contract and if there were any other mates, introductions would be made.
Finishing his breakfast, he set his plate and spoon aside to look at Jay and Misty. There were a lot of questions needing answered, but in this moment, Kason was satisfied. Months of torture led him to Misty. Not that he would ever volunteer to go through it again. Thinking about the Cixin Syndicate, he looked over to his friend. The entire time Jay ate, he couldn't take his eyes off his mate. Kason cleared his throat.
