As the tension in the hospital hallway lingered, the sound of approaching footsteps cut through the silence.
Aunt Xi appeared, her expression warm yet efficient as always. "The car is ready, Old Master," she announced before turning to Chen Lin. "Everything has been arranged for the move."
Chen Lin nodded in acknowledgment.
Aunt Xi then stepped forward, her hands naturally moving to grip the handles of Chen Hai's wheelchair. "I'll push him—"
"I can do it," Chen Lin interjected smoothly, already adjusting her grip.
Aunt Xi paused for a moment, then smiled knowingly before stepping back. "Alright."
With that, they made their way to the parking lot.
Since Chen Lin had driven herself, she couldn't ride with them. As they reached the car, the medical staff helped position her grandfather into the backseat carefully. Aunt Xi double-checked the arrangements before stepping into the front passenger seat.
