"How long have you been up?" he asked.
Chen Lin answered, a small smile in her lips, "More than an hour."
His brows furrowed. "And you didn't wake me?"
She raised an eyebrow. "Why would I? You needed the rest."
Wu Yuxuan let out a quiet scoff, pushing himself up and rolling his shoulders.
"I needed the rest?" His tone carried a rare trace of exasperation. "You're the one who collapsed from exhaustion, and yet here you are—still reading."
"I already rested," Chen Lin countered, pouting a bit.
She had slept for hours already.
"That wasn't enough." His response was flat, unwavering. "Director Peng rescheduled your scenes for the next two days. You don't have to worry about the shoot."
Chen Lin frowned. "That's going to put more pressure on the team. They're in the final stretch—"
"It's handled." His tone left no room for argument.
She sighed, knowing there was no point in pushing back. "Fine. I'll rest for the next two days."
