Chen Lin's expression immediately brightened, and without thinking, she called out, "Shi Yuan!"
Shi Yuan froze in the doorway, her eyes wide with shock at the sudden burst of energy from her friend. It was a stark contrast to the usual calm and collected Chen Lin she knew.
Her brows furrowed in playful disbelief as she stepped further into the room, the basket of fruit in hand. "Wait—hold up. You just collapsed from exhaustion, and now you're bouncing off the walls like you've been to the moon and back? Has the cold fried your brain?" she teased, still trying to process Chen Lin's unexpected enthusiasm.
"When did you become this excited to see me? Are you acting like you've been locked in here for a year or something?"
Chen Lin huffed, clearly not bothered by the teasing.
Chen Lin flopped back onto the pillows with a dramatic sigh, clearly restless. "I'm so bored. Wu Yuxuan's been making me rest all day, and I swear it feels like I've been in this bed for ages."
