"Jack, what are you doing?" Keira Leaf raised her voice when Jack Leaf remained still.
Jack exhaled deeply, resigned, and began to roll up his sleeves. He carefully secured both sleeves, then bent his head and seriously re-tied his shoelaces, looking very professional.
Keira and Howard glanced at him simultaneously. Keira couldn't help but grin at the sight, finding the young boy earnestly cute, although she wondered if Joshua Sulliven had been like this as a child.
Just as Jack was getting his gear sorted, Howard decided to follow suit only to realize he was wearing a T-shirt that didn't require rolling up sleeves. Luckily, he still had shoelaces to tie.
But at that moment, the prepared Jack suddenly dashed out, kicking the football that was near Howard's foot and running towards Keira.
Keira, with bare feet, stood ready and didn't plan on going easy.
