Eve was eating fruit at the time. Ever since becoming pregnant, Emma Tonkin had been treating her like a treasure, sending things over at regular intervals each day.
She put a piece of watermelon in her mouth, took a bite, and the sweet taste instantly filled her mouth, delicious beyond words.
