At this point, Chu Molin felt that obeying his wife could save his life. Henceforth, he was inclined to believe whatever Qin Xue said. It's not that he didn't harbor any doubts; instead, he found her words reasonable, so he listened to her.
"Xue'er, what's going on with Nangong Beiying?" Chu Molin thought back to Nangong Beiying's strange behavior which puzzled him. But he didn't quite know how to describe it.
"Nothing much. She didn't rest well last night and only went to sleep this morning, so she's a bit fatigued. You have no idea how busy we have been over the past month. Many things are not as simple as they seem," Qin Xue did not talk to Chu Molin about Nangong Beiying's situation.
At this point, she had not yet determined how to proceed with Nangong Beiying. Therefore, she didn't want to divulge anything prematurely. Revealing any information would be unfair to Nangong Beiying as this was her private matter.
