The dining hall of Songze Village was a rather large terraced house with a peaked roof, red tiles, and white walls in a Western architectural style.

At the base was an oblique cross, but atop the cross was carved a massive worm.

The bizarre design rendered the statue extraordinarily odd and full of a sense of disjunction.

"Worms? No, they somewhat resemble leeches. Does Songze Village harbor some strange beliefs?"

Kanoya speculated in his mind and silently took note of this point.
