Kanoya waited for a while, when suddenly she saw a warm yellow light flickering in the distance, moving closer.
The light wasn't as blinding as the flashlight carried by the Songze Hunter she had encountered before. Instead, it was warm and calming, cutting through the darkness of the night-shrouded forest, inexplicably bringing a sense of peace.
"Hey! Hello?"
Kanoya called out towards the source of the light.
She then saw a wild beast, about one meter in length, emerging from behind the nearby bushes.
The beast had a beautiful coat of white fur and graceful figure, with sharp and erect ears, appearing both alert and noble.
It resembled a wolf, yet it could be mistaken for a gorgeous large dog.
The gentle and warm light came from a dainty lantern hanging around its neck.
It must be the helper Shouka was looking for.
For some reason, this white wolf had shown up near Kanoya on its own.
