The moment the crimson beam appeared in view, everyone immediately understood that "this was no ordinary existence."
Though they called it understanding, it was not obtained through intellectual observation and calculation. Instead, it was "something" at a deeper level of consciousness, that pierced directly to the root of the soul, spontaneously inserting the answer "extraordinary" into their cognition. Merely by a glance, everyone already knew the nature of the miracle, and many even shed tears of emotion.
This was the most well-known miracle among the numerous apocryphal stories recounted in the scripture — namely, the execution of the Savior.
