Now that the war had been won and the financial strains eased, the elves finally had reason to indulge themselves, to be lavish and wasteful for once.
Though termed a "special motorcade," in reality, the entire convoy was a grand spectacle of fifty luxurious limousines, accompanied by sixty-four motorcycles leading the way, resembling a reinforced motorized battalion. Including the vehicles on standby and those transporting soldiers, it practically formed a full motorized regiment.
