It was hell, and also a nightmare.

The humble yet cozy cottages had all been set ablaze, the frenzied flames seemingly intent on burning the very sky to ashes. Amidst the blood-red glow of the fire, people clenched their weapons, battling the steel monstrosities that swarmed like bee pupae.

It was a merciless trampling, yet also a resistance that commanded solemn respect.

The artillery model had no armor protection whatsoever; nearly every gram of weight was dedicated to bearing the load and managing the recoil when firing. Its mobility was limited to slowly and clumsily moving with the heavy cannon to reposition itself, but since the artillery model was seldom deployed to the frontline and didn't have to worry about retaliatory fire injuring the crew, the lack of armor wasn't actually an issue.

In fact, even if deployed directly to the front lines as they were now, within visual combat range, there would still be no problem.
