Bonnevaux Town was neither a military fortress nor a vacation villa area; its layout was entirely a result of compromises between human activities and the topography. The distribution was maximized to facilitate the residents' lives under the constraints of the terrain—this is a common structural feature of all mountain towns.

Even if the "Freedom Legion" was stationed in the town, with the engineering capabilities and logistical support of the Guerrilla Squad, it was impossible to change the village's layout in a short period of time and forcefully fortify Bonnevaux Town. Conversely, in order not to attract unnecessary attention and trouble, they also made great efforts to preserve the town's original appearance as much as possible.
