It is not uncommon to distort information, beautify one's own actions, and justify crimes and atrocities. To some extent, it's quite common. But for someone like Li Lin to do so on such a grand scale and with such brazenness is indeed rare.

When this word is spoken from Li Lin's lips, it's not just discordant, it's downright surreal, not to mention that it is associated with war, massacre, and enslavement.
Either Li Lin is extremely confident in his own sophistry, or he truly believes everyone else to be fools.
