Some people have once said: impulse, passion, love—youth without any of these is incomplete.

They say this, probably because they're romantics. They take it for granted to celebrate life, yearn for the future, and dream dreams, believing a life devoid of dreams and ideals is no different than a salted fish, hence their conviction.

Perhaps there is some truth to their point, but none of it works in the Empire.
