Marseille felt his heart pounding crazily, as if not his life, but a ticking timebomb resided within his chest, about to hit zero.

This wasn't an exaggeration, nor a delusion formed by mental pressure, but a phenomenon that was actually happening.

The training of magicians was never a quick study course. Even with theoretical support and teachers providing live examples, it still largely depended on the accumulation of personal experience. After all, magic largely fell under the category of intuitive domains, unlike science and technology, much of it could not be replicated. Described in traditional sayings, it was purely a matter of "teachers opening the gate, and cultivation depending on the individual."
