Jasper Bollock smiled indifferently, "We're still friends, aren't we?"
Amanda Jenkins nodded heavily, "Of course."
"Since we are friends, then I should be concerned. There's no need for you to thank me."
What he needed had never been a simple thank you from Amanda Jenkins.
He wanted her to live a happy and secure life.
Just a simple wish like that.
Amanda Jenkins brushed back her hair that the wind had mussed, and said with some discomfort, "If there's nothing else, I'll go in first."
Although Lucas had kindly given her the opportunity to see Jasper alone, if she spent too much time alone with Jasper, Lucas would definitely be unhappy.
"Amanda, I wanted to ask..." Jasper's tone was somewhat hesitant, "Evelyn Crawford... she's not with you guys, is she?"
At the mention of Evelyn Crawford, Amanda Jenkins paused.
She was not a person who was good at lying, especially not to someone like Jasper Bollock.
Lying to Jasper would fill her with a sense of guilt.
