Chapter 46- A beautiful mistake
"Baby would you like to go on a date with me, later at night" Alex asked Kimberly while continuous pecking her shoulders making her laugh out loud.
It's been three days after Alex's parents and brother's death anniversary and Alex has been active h sweeter than usual.
"Sure les go later, but before that let's go make breakfast for everyone" Kim said pulling Alex along with her not minding his murmurings. Yesterday, Kim volunteered to cook for everyone, at first they doubted if she was able to make Chinese cuisines but she wowed them too much that grandma Chen fell in love with her cooking and pleaded for her to make food for her today, and Kim not wanting to make grandma Chen sad wanted to make breakfast only that this time she was dragging him into her mess despite his unwillingness.

AFTER BREAKFAST
Alex was in a phone call with someone privately which was weird coz Alex was comfortable making or answering any phone call in her presence, so what's so special about this phone call ? Kim asked herself inwardly but decided to let it go.
"Alex is everything okay" she asked Alex who was yelling and cursing at someone on the phone.
"Yes baby everything is fine, it's just a minor issue" Alex lord not wanting Kim to worry or know what was happening.
"Are you sure you're okay,why are you sweating" she asked concerned making Alex even nervous.
"Ye....yes....e...every..... I mean everything is fine" Alex stuttered.
[what the fuck !! Did the great Alexander Chen just stutter in nervousness] Kim was surprised. Normally Alex never like to bother her with his work issues, although he asks for her opinion time to time, but Alex will never want to bother her with any work problem he was facing, so maybe this was a work issue.
"Okay" she tiptoed to place a kiss in his neck but Alex held her back before she could pull away.
"Babe, I love us this way, I don't want us to end" Alex said nervously making Kim raise a brow in confusion [what was going on with Alex]
"What are you saying, we aren't ending okay" raised her brows confused.
"Okay that's all I need to hear right now" Alex said.
"Are you sure you're okay ?" She asked checking his temperature with the back of her hand to see if he was sick or not. While he just noises in response.

LATER IN THE EVENING
"Babe I'm waiting,let's go" Alex yelled from down stairs.
"Coming babe" Kim answered as she walked down the stairs to meet him.
"Alex I'm ready" Alex turned back and was stunned.
"Wow, I just can't get tired of you babe" Alex said making her chuckle.
"Xièxiè bàba" —[thank you daddy] Kim responded in Chinese, she's been trying her best to learn basic phrases in Chinese.
"Fuck it babe !! My language do sound sexy coming from your mouth. It does sinful things to my mind and body" Alex said as he held her chin making her blush.
Tonight she was wearing a long sleeved white free knee length gown with two inches maroon heels paired with a maroon purse as well as a Maroon lipstick. Her hair was packed in a neat ponytail but the tip was curled making her look like a seductive angel.
"Let's go,by the way where's grandma and grandpa" she asked as she noticed to quietness of the mansion.
"I already told them that we're going out,so there resting" Alex replied.
Few minutes later there already at a Chinese restaurant which was empty. Well it's something she's already used to by now, Alex likes his privacy, so he books the whole restaurant when there our on a date.
"Wow The interior is nice" Kim complimented before they sat down.
"Good evening ma'am and sir, it's a pleasure to serve you,I will be your waiter for tonight, pls feel free to order from the menu" a Chinese looking waiter courtesies fluently in English making Kimberly smile.
"Here" Kim brought out a huge tip from her purse and handed it over to the waiter who appreciated it happily.
"Let's order" Kim told a nervous looking Alex who kept checking his suit pocket and trouser pocket like he was looking for something.
Alex kept looking everywhere making Kim confused, she started looking around too even though confused about what he was looking for.
Suddenly a black box on the table caught her attention. She reached for the box while Alex kept looking around. She was sure that this might be why he was looking for. She opened the box only to see a dazzling diamond and emerald engagement ring. She couldn't help but smile as tears ticked down her eyes.
"Looking for this" Kim said calling Alex's attention back while she slipped the ring into her ring finger. She finally understood his weird behavior today, so head planning to propose to her.
"Fuck, it wasn't supposed to be like this, I was supposed to say romantic words to you and ask you but unfortunately I lost the ring by mistake" Alex said shyly as his ears turn red.
"Well indeed it's a mistake, but it's a very beautiful mistake, I love it" Kim said smiling while Alex used his handkerchief to wipe his sweat away as he sighed in relief.
