Lucas exhaled, and stepped toward Estrella. He stopped before her, and scrutinized her, looking for any sign of weakness in her appearance or her posture. Only after he saw nothing did he nod and raise his hand to help her tidy up her appearance, tucking her behind her ear while she looked at him calmly.
"Let's go."
With those words, he turned his back to her, to face the hole.
Estrella lowered her head to the tip of a strand of white hair peeking out from below, then looked back at Lucas. Her eyes softened for a moment, before she returned to looking calm, hiding the small smile that flashed past her lips.
Maybe what she was hiding had never been hidden after all, only never spoken out loud.
She looked at the corpses on the ground, then at Lucas. A little bit of thinking made her understand why he didn't try to loot anything.
