A day had gone by since...since Elias...
Once again, I've made some progress. The pain within me has not subsided, but now it's endurable.
I find I can control my limbs once more, and I can walk for much longer. The fact that I've made so much progress in a single day scares me.
I'm afraid I'll go two steps backwards again.
My erratic cough still persists, and the blood escaping my lips has not ceased yet.
I still don't know the cause.
Though so much eats away at my mind, I try to keep my focus. I try to keep my emotions in check.
Yet from time to time, my mind jolts back to that monster. The Chronicle, Mom's gift to me.
I remember those visions I had, the lake, the secret room underground. Elias took me there, only to stage an attack.
It's evident he went back to that place—it was there. Dammit.
SLAM*
I don't realize it when my hand comes down on the cupboard beside me, breaking apart a good chunk of wood from it.
