"Your servant is off to serve." Su Yan joked, walking towards the chopping board in small deliberate steps.
Su Yan felt a great sense of achievement from chopping the chicken—all over the place. At least he managed to cut it into smaller pieces!
When the meal was ready, he felt an even greater sense of accomplishment as he set the food on the table. It was as if he had cooked the six dishes and the soup himself.

"You made it?" Su Yafu eyed the plate of spicy chicken, wondering; if his father cooked it, he wouldn't dare to eat it.
"I chopped the chicken!" Su Yan boasted with pride.
Su Yafu broke out in a sweat. It was just chopping a chicken, was there really a need to be so proud?
