I know you might be wondering how am I going to fight zenya when I have no skills and idea in fighting. Well, which would have actually been bad if I had no skills in fighting but I do. When I was younger my brother; raiden started teaching me from small and trained me to fight because he didn't want me to be weak he also sneakingly taught me science too.
I was complaining because I had to hide and do everything in secret. This is something that I was not supposed to hide and do.
This is something that is a right for everyone but because of the norms,I was denied this basic right and it made me annoyed.
Flashback
Six years ago
Eldora's capital,Palace
Training room
Raiden stood in the dimly lit training room, his eyes fixed on Athena as she lounged on the mat, her arms crossed over her chest
Get up, Athena. We're going to train today.
Athena slowly got to her feet, her eyes half-closed.
I don't see why I need to train. I'm already skilled enough.
You think you're skilled enough? You're not even close. Now, let's start with the basics. There are three rules to fighting that you need to remember.
First, never reveal your weakness. If your opponent knows your weakness, they will exploit it. You must always be aware of your surroundings and keep your guard up.
As a member of the royal family, you have the power of air at your disposal. You can use this power to enhance your swordsmanship and create powerful gusts of wind to knock your opponents off balance.
Second, never underestimate your opponent. No matter how weak or inexperienced they may seem, they can still pose a threat. You must always be prepared for the unexpected.
Third, always have an escape plan. In a real fight, things don't always go as planned. You must always have a way out, a way to escape or turn the tables on your opponent.
Now, let's practice these rules. Begin sparring with your partner.
Athena began to spar, her movements slow and sluggish at first. But as Raiden pushed her, her movements began to quicken. She used her air powers to create powerful gusts of wind, knocking her opponent off balance.
Fourth, use your environment to your advantage. Use the space, the lighting, and any other environmental factors to your advantage. This can give you an edge over your opponent.
Fifth, never fight with your emotions. Fighting with your emotions can cloud your judgment and lead to mistakes. You must always stay calm and focused, even in the heat of battle.
Athena's movements became more fluid, more strategic. She used her environment to her advantage, dodging and weaving around the training room. She stayed calm and focused, her emotions in check.
As the sparring match came to an end, Raiden nodded in approval. You're improving, Athena. But don't think for a moment that you're done training. We're just getting started.
Athena's eyes locked on Raiden's, a spark of determination burning in her gaze. I'm not going to hold back anymore. I'm going to train harder than ever before.
Now, let's see how far you can take it. Begin sparring with me.
Athena drew her sword, her eyes fixed on Raiden's. The two of them began to spar, their movements fluid and precise. Raiden used his fire powers to create waves of flames that danced across his blade, making it nearly impossible for Athena to defend against.
Athena, in turn, used her air powers to create powerful gusts of wind, extinguishing the flames and creating and creating an opening for a counter attack.
The two of them sparred, their movements a blur of steel and flame They were a formidable team and Raiden knew that they would be merely unbeatable in battle.
End of flashback
Looking back, I realized that what initially seemed like a casual exercise had turned into an opportunity to prove my skills. Despite my initial reluctance, I was determined to put in effort, largely because of my brother. If he were here, he would likely provoke me into fighting, just like he used to.
It had been six years since I last sparred, and although I had sparred five times after that duel, Raiden had become too busy with royal activities to meet with me regularly. As a result, I hadn't found anyone to spar with, partly because I wanted to keep my fighting abilities a secret from the older elders, especially the female ones who would gasp and fall out of their chairs if they knew.
I took a deep breath, mentally preparing myself for the challenge ahead. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I was determined to give it my all. The rustiness of my skills was a concern, but I was willing to work through it.
