What I was angry at was the lack of modularity in strength between a normal Spirit Arrow, which by my standards at this point was only kind of strong, and a Ninefold Spirit Arrow which was quite a bit stronger than 9 times a Spirit Arrow's strength. I've been too focused on learning new techniques. I of all people should know that it's not enough just to use techniques.
Right now, I was in an awkward spot where Spirit Arrows were too weak, and Ninefold Spirit Arrows would be too strong and wasteful of Spirit Energy. I could only conclude that the closest thing to a middle ground I had right now was to rely more on Sky Serpent Eluding Heaven's Wrath and my low-level power attack, Steel Rending Strike, while still chipping away at the ones further away from me with more conjured Spirit Arrows. This combined with the ice field I'd made at the start of the battle meant that I plowed through the yellow level, where enemies were at Third Spirit Realm, almost as fast as the orange level.
