Gui Jiang had always kept a low profile in the troop, so much so that Mo Shangjun didn't even notice him until two days after her return; seeing this green, young man now, she was momentarily taken aback.
"Here for the rehearsal?"
Mo Shangjun leaned back, asking with a puzzled look.
"Ah, no," Gui Jiang scratched his neck, somewhat shyly advancing towards Mo Shangjun, "I came specifically to find you."
"What's up?" Mo Shangjun raised an eyebrow.
"Well," Gui Jiang hesitated for a long time before he finally mumbled, "I got accepted into the military academy."
Seeing him psych himself up for so long, only to relay good news, Mo Shangjun was stunned for a moment, but she quickly smiled, "Congratulations."
Taking a deep breath, Gui Jiang straightened up stiffly, raised his right hand, and gave Mo Shangjun a solemn military salute with a smooth and natural movement, "Deputy Company Commander Mo, thank you."
