Mo Shangjun paused, seemingly puzzled as she asked, "Xu Ke? Who's that?"
"Ah, Peng Yuqiu's girlfriend."
Liang Zhiqiong tried to maintain a semblance of calm as she spoke, yet her voice unintentionally trembled a bit.
"Oh?" Mo Shangjun slightly raised her eyebrows.
"She's interning at my dad's company over the summer break..." Liang Zhiqiong's eyes darted around as she continued with an overly feigned casual tone, "Anyway, I have nothing better to do, so I thought I might as well go see her."
"Sure."
Mo Shangjun responded lazily, agreeing rather swiftly.
"You agreed just like that?" Liang Zhiqiong's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at her.
"Why not?" Mo Shangjun retorted.
"That's so loyal of you!"
Liang Zhiqiong slammed the table, exuding an air of "I'm definitely making you my friend."
