What Benson did was only in the heat of the moment. Now that the adrenaline rush was cooled, Benson's face turned ashen white.
'What have I done?' Benson cried silently, his eyes staring at one particular comment that came from none other than Dark Night.
Dark Night always kept a low profile, so Benson instantly knew it wasn't some impostor using the name. Instead, it was his Team Leader.
However, Dark Night was one thing, the other thing that truly frightened him was Veronica's questions.
He swallowed a mouthful of saliva, raised his chin up slowly, and gazed at Veronica with a look filled with guilt and fear.
"I-I didn't mean to expose my team's planning." Benson stutteringly said.
Well, no shit!
Veronica nearly spat those words aloud. If it weren't for the fact that Veronica knew he didn't intend any harm, then Benson would have been screwed already.
Why would she even bother to question him?
