Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

The kingdom of Buganbal, a kingdom that was often described as the blessed land, filled with fertile lands and never lacking in abundant wealth, it stood tall in all the land, as one of the greatest and most prosperous of all kingdom. Its streets bustling with life, with the loud chatter and yells from the taverns and markets as people haggled and drunk themselves to a merry stupor, the farm lands had never seen a day without harvest thanks to the blessed soil of Buganbal. The people were happy and to them, life in Buganbal was paradise and they owed it all to their king, His Majesty, King Atoni who ruled over the entire kingdom and made sure, they lacked in nothing. Everything seemed fine, and every Buganbalian seemed content with their lives…well almost everyone.

In a small open field next to house a house in the kingdom a boy huff out of exhaustion, with sweat dripping down his chin while holding a wooden sword. The grip on his wooden blade, firm, as he faced his opponent, a gruff looking man with scars littered all over his body wielding a wooden sword as well.

The boy then charged straight in and tried strike the man with a massive swing of his sword only for him to be struck by the side and send to the ground. The boy then raised his head on to find the wooden tip of man's blade on his forehead.

"You focused too much on power strength and not enough on speed and precision. Be more observant and don't just go charging. It doesn't matter how good you are with a blade Amasu, a reckless man holding a blade is a good as dead in the battle field", the man spoke as he put away his sword and extended as hand to the boy to help him up.

The boy, Amasu, then let out sigh before saying, "Alright father". He then accepted his father's hand and got up.

After that bout in the fields the father and son made their in to the house to have breakfast prepared by none other than Amasu's father, with Amasu immediately scuffing down as much food as he could as he was staved for food and hadn't eating in days while his father seating the dining table across him looked at his beastly way of eating and just let out a sigh as he slowly had his meal in a much more gentle and elegant man than his son.

Amasu, after devouring everything on the table, let out burp of satisfaction from a full belly while his father gathered up the dirty plates and tended to the dishes. Once done, he got dressed, cladding himself in armor that bore the crest of the royal crown as well as brilliant silver steel blade. The man's gaze then journeyed to portrait on the wall, on it stood him and a beautiful woman standing next him with the woman beaming and glowing with a bright smile on her face while he on the other hand who a tired and slightly frustrated expression on his face. Recalling how he had to standing for hours just to have the portrait made and how at the he failed to understand why his beloved wanted a portrait to be done of both of them, and would even joke that she shouldn't worry that even she were to grow old and beauty faded, he would still be able to picture the beauty of her youthful face and didn't need a portrait, earn him a playful jab and a threat to sleep hungry.

*Sigh*, thank goodness she managed to convinced him to have that portrait made because it was the only way he could gaze in to her beautiful elegant eyes spite having long departed from the realm of the leaving and on to the place of death. The man then shifted his gaze away from the portrait and on to his son

"I'm leaving for work. Try as much as possible to stay away from trouble while I'm gone", said the father as he made his way towards the door.

"Trouble, me, have a little more faith in your son father", Amasu spoke faming outrage.

The man unfazed by his son's words simply went to the door and opened it.

"Just stay put until I get back and stay away from the forest", he spoke, his voice stern and a bit cold before walking out the door.

Once his father was, Amasu quickly rushed to the window, spotting his father as mounted on his horse and rode away. Watching him as he rode away on his horse until he was out of view before rushing to his room. Quickly grabbing a sword of his own, though dull and not as sharp as he's father, with a few swings, he deemed good enough to wield before rummaging through his drawer and finding some old leather armor and then proceeded to put it on.

Then, with his sword and leather armor, glance out to his window and spotted the forest that laid just beyond the kingdoms bothers with grin forming on his face.
