Axel was silent the whole time because John had said everything that needed to be said. Everyone in the meeting was convinced of the idea of killing all the vampires.
"So how do we attack?" Carlisle saw that no one was asking John anything, so he decided to keep the conversation going.
"It's actually quite simple. There has to be a place where they gather. We need to find their hideout and surround it. After that, Axel will do most of the work."
"What if they attack first?" Carlisle didn't think Victoria would just stand by.
"If they attack, they will surely attack with their whole army. Then we wait for them to come at us and take them by surprise." It made no difference to Axel.
"And what are we going to do?" Edward didn't understand what their role in the war would be.
"Axel will break into their camp and start killing, but he can't destroy them all at once. When they see his power, they will try to escape. You have to stop them from escaping. We will have the advantage because they will not be able to sense your presence as they run from Axel." John hadn't put much thought into the plan, but he thought it would be enough.
After a short silence, Carlisle gave his opinion on the plan. "It's a reasonable plan."
Emmett knew it was the right thing to do, even though he was demoralized to hear that he would not be able to actively fight. It was the only way to minimize casualties.
"Is there something you want to say?" John asked, looking directly into Jacob's eyes.
"You can be sure that we will follow your plan." As much as Jacob believed that, he was annoyed that he now felt dominated by another Alpha. He couldn't express his anger and discomfort, but he felt uncomfortable inside.
Jasper and Edward sensed Jacob's sudden shift in emotions and thoughts. They hoped Jacob would not make a mistake with John and Axel. It was not unheard of for shapeshifters to act on instinct sometimes.
"Okay. If everyone's on board with the plan, our first order of business should be to find their hideout." After analyzing John's plan at length, Carlisle found it quite logical. Although Axel had nothing personal against him, Carlisle had come to respect him greatly for taking on a huge task and responsibility in this war.
"I think Jacob and his pack can handle it. A normal shapeshifter is more skilled at tracking than any of you." John always looked into Jacob's eyes when he told him something.
In fact, the reason John was so interested in Jacob was to observe the new Alpha of his old pack.
"Mr. Blackwood is right. Me and my wolf pack will take care of this." Jacob spoke as if he were declaring that the wolf pack belonged to him.
It was something he did instinctively. He was trying to protect his space and authority from another Alpha.
John smiled when he saw what she was about to do. He felt like watching a child in front of him. But at least he wasn't stupid like the Alphas of old.
"Let us know when you find them. If there's nothing else, we'll leave." When Axel spoke for the first time in a long time, all eyes turned to him. Because of his strength and charisma, he attracted more attention than before.
After a few seconds of silence, when he saw that no one said anything, Axel got up to leave.
As Axel got up, so did Carlisle, Jacob, and the rest of the Cullen family.
Carlisle walked over to John and Axel, smiled at them and began to speak. "I am very pleased to have you in my home today. I am sure we will see each other again later. I hope the friendship between us will grow." Carlisle shook John's hand as he spoke.
"We are glad to be your friends." John respected Carlisle. He found Carlisle to be a wise and good man.
"Thank you, John. Nice to meet you too, Mr. Blackwood." Carlisle showed his respect for Axel in his words.
"You can call me Axel. Nice to meet you too, and have a good day. We should get going." Axel was glad to meet a group of vampires he could be friends with. He wasn't sure what kind of people he would meet on the way here.
"Have a good day." Carlisle went to talk to Jacob and two others from his pack who were waiting on the sidewalk.
Axel and John got into the SUV and started to drive home. Neither of them were talkative, so they were silent the whole way.
When they got home, the house was empty. Maxwell and Felix still hadn't arrived. They weren't worried about them because it wasn't evening yet. One of the family rules was that if you were going to be late, you had to be told in advance.
After entering the house, Axel went to his room and changed his clothes. After changing into more comfortable and casual clothes, he went into the living room and sat down in an empty chair.
It was easy to talk about killing this army of vampires, but killing one was not easy. Axel was not just going to kill someone, he was going to kill an army of vampires. Even though they were not innocent, it was not an easy decision.
Seeing Axel's thoughtful and pensive look, John studied him as he drank the coffee he had just poured for him. He guessed what he was thinking but said nothing because there was no way he could comfort him.
Axel had to do something bad to do something good.
While the two of them sat in silence, Maxwell and Felix searched Forks, but unfortunately they didn't find a single vampire. What they did learn were rumors of recent deaths and disappearances in the town. Some said it was wild animal attacks, others said it was supernatural beings like ghosts.
Maxwell and Felix thought about it and realized that the blood of the dead was being drunk and the missing people were being turned into vampires.
Since they already knew a lot about Victoria and her army, it was not difficult to make this deduction.
Maxwell went to the market to buy a newspaper. He planned to study the paper at home. Felix waited for Maxwell outside the store, looking at the beautiful cars passing by. A few minutes later, Maxwell came out of the store after paying.
Felix and Maxwell got into the car and drove home.
