Friday.
I received a text from Jessie.
{You can take a break for today since you already mastered the dance. But don't forget to come back at the dance studio tomorrow to have a light practice.}
I texted back a quick "okay" and hit send, feeling a rush of relief wash over me. With the choreography settled, there was still one burning issue to tackle: our outfits for the upcoming dance competition.
After throwing on some fresh clothes, I headed over to the door next to mine, my excitement bubbling over as I knocked.
The door swung open to reveal Kairos yawning. "Let's go shopping," I suggested, not bothering to meet his eyes as I scrolled through my phone, searching for outfit ideas. "We still don't have any outfits."
"Let me change in a minute," he said, stepping back to let me in. "You can come in while you wait for me."
I smiled and walked into his room. "Make it fast. After we're done shopping, we need to practice again," I reminded him, settling on the living room couch.
