It's the next day. Hikaru is sitting in his school currently in a physics lecture of Mr Reiji's class. His gaze is focused outside the window: daydreaming about what happened yesterday.
"Cleaning the dishes was definitely hell, but Ms Yoru... She seems nice I guess... But what about this Sora Makizushi guy? Who's this Tsukuyomi? Is he related to me? Ugh, whatever... I don't care," Hikaru thinks to himself his hand cupping his right cheek, under his hair covering the right face.
Hikaru gently rubs the area and sighs. "And this is a sore itself... I hate this... Family says it's normal...", Hikaru continues thinking to himself as he focuses back on the physics lecture.
After 30 minutes, the bell rings and it's off time from school. Hikaru is the last to leave but before that, Mr Reiji stops him, "Hikaru! Don't leave without your test from last class!". Mr Reiji was smiling, his face a charismatic endeavour. He wore a loose white shirt, a black undercoat vest and a red tie nestled into it. His hair were gentlemanly parted and messy to some extent and he had a bit of a stubble.
Hikaru stops midway and turns around before gently taking the page and bowing. Hikaru seemed to be in a rush of sorts. Mr Reiji spots the uncomfort and tilted his head and asked, "Hikaru? Is everything alright? I mean you scored well I suppose. But today you didn't seem the Hikaru I know".
Hikaru looks back up to his teacher and gives out a small smile, "It's alright, sensei... I just got a new job... It's pretty stressful... Rent's expensive for me to sustain in the city...". Hasuke sighs and nods. "I understand heh. You remind me of my younger days, yk? I also had a job, perse. But hey, I left it just to pursue what I love most: My family and teaching!", Hasuke says ecstatically an honest grin on the man's face.
"Family? Huh... Maybe I can stop being in this PPA after I graduate college and get a job... A girlfriend... Maybe I can grow a family together... I reallywant a family... I miss big sis... Big brother too... Mom too!", Hikaru thought to himself before replying with a nod. "I think it's a great pursuit, Sensei. I want to be just like you!", Hikaru replies genuinely smiling his feet tapping around excitedly.
Mr Reiji smiled at Hikaru's dream and waved him off. Hikaru walked down the school hallway and spot a weird blue haired guy but shrugged at it: probably a queer. Hikaru left the school building and the moment he got out of the gate his eyes widened as the bag strap fell down his shoulder. "M-miss Yoru?!", Hikaru asks in surprise.
Yoru stood next to her black high end car led by her driver. She was wearing an elegant dress: a black dress going from her chest to the floor. She was wearing sunglasses and her white and pink highlights hair were tired in a proper bun. Yoru turned around and saw Hikaru. "Hikaru? You're here? What are you doing- nevermind you go to school... Ah well, that means you aren't focusing on your job hmm~ should I... Cut 500 yen from your salary ~?", Yoru giggled as she nudged him playfully.
Hikaru pouted before walking away like a kid on a tantrum. But secretly, he liked this type of figure he supposed.
Yoru sighs as she walks into the school building gracefully, her hips swaying with each movement. She climbs a flight of stairs and reaches Mr Reiji's classroom and knocks before entering.
Mr Reiji was on his laptop before he looked back at the door and his fingers stopped. "Y-Yoru san? Wait... You?", Hasuke said standing up immediately in weird recognition. Yoru smiles twirling around for him. Her demeanor still teasing but definitely more mature with Mr Reiji.
"Ah, Hasuke~ how long has it been? 12 years? 13? 14? God... I don't know myself," Yoru says shaking her head at he absurdity of the time. "It's just been so long, my best friend," Yoru says smiling genuinely with a sense of kinship with Hasuke. Yoru continues then with a smirk, "and looks like you've gotten all handsome eh? Looks like my man here has been working up every night- ah oops sorry~". Yoru covers her mouth giggling at Hasuke.
"Ha ha. Very funny, Yoru... Very funny... How's it been?", Hasuke says the first part in sarcasm but asks about her in a normal manner acting like a gentleman for her, he brings out a chair and lets her sit. Yoru smiled at the gesture and sighed
"It's been great. I've became a Director haha! It's nice isn't it? I get to control Asia under PPA command! So cool!", Yoru says in a rad mimicking tone her hands gesturing a 'V'. Hasuke bursts out laughing also making a 'V'. It was their friendship hand sign. "I think PPA won't live another year under your rule lol", Hasuke says looking away then whistling. To which Yoru snaps and flicks his forehead to focus.
"Anyways, Hasuke. I know it's been long and all, I suppose it's time we discuss the elephant in the room," Yoru says pulling out a file labeled 'Sora Makizushi'. Hasuke nod getting a bit serious to focus. "Yesterday night, the PPA found Sora Makizushi who had been awakened from his slumber. Now this news is very very controlled. According to the legend of Sora Makizushi, he was the strongest Eclipse Hunter in existence.... He existed in Japan during 9th century and was frozen after a duel. Now I don't know how true the legend is, but several priests have said that Sora would awaken before 'destruction' happens. Now, I can't get into detail what happened that led to his awakening, but what I can say is... The PPA is worried. It doesn't make sense how one of our agents can just randomly fall in a sink hole one night and be able to bring him back. I'm not scared of Sora, I'm scared of what this means for humanity, for us, Hasuke," Yoru explains slowly letting every sentence register in Hasuke's mind.
"Look, Yoru, I know this is a concern but it's a legend after all. I mean if you've gotten Sora, that's good use him for the PPA I guess, but I'm never ever coming back after what happened 14 years ago, Yoru...", Hasuke says a bit worried not abouth the legend but about something from the past. Hasuke gets a bit angry, "What about Nakamura, huh? You aren't worried that guy? Do you even remember what happened? I'm not an agent nor a protecter, I'm simply a danger to humanity and I won't let myself come back again!".
Yoru looks at Hasuke's frustration and gently nods, not showing weaknesses by continuing the argument and respecting him. She smiles before getting back into her bubbly behaviour. "Well, it's alright, old friend. I understand if you don't want to help and I support your decision. If you ever wana check Sora, come to our labs aight? See ya~", Yoru says as she leaves with a confident smile.
Meanwhile, outside, in the hallway, the blue haired midpart guy that Hikaru spotted sat in the hallway, reading a newspaper before he pressed his ear and said in a calm, collected voice with a hint of Dutch accent, "Heh~ the statistics were true, boss... Sora Makizushi is back and I know where he is...".
The earpiece replies in a very static voice that makes it hard to make the real voice out, "Victor Van Volt, you are allowed to start Operation Senzai Freedom".
A few hours later
Victor stood atop of a skyscraper, looking down in the ward and skyline of Shinjuku and sees the secret PPA building. He smirks mischievously as electricity cackles around the young man.
