Chapter 113 - Secret

"Did the roses give it away?" Reign smiled.

"Uh, sure," I sighed while taking the bouquet. "Come in."

I turned to see Cameron standing in confusion, and Reign followed suit while closing the door behind him.

"Sorry, this is Cameron," I introduced myself.

"I know who he is," Reign reminded him. Remember, I met him a few times when his mother would stay with Zeus?"

"I didn't know that part. I wasn't there," I inadvertently sneered before setting the roses on the countertop.

This is a conundrum; he was one of the men I didn't need to have show up right now.

 "How've you been?" Reign greeted.

"Good, you know, football took off, and I don't have to worry about anything for the rest of my life, thanks to Zeus," Cameron said while shaking Reign's hand.

"What brings you out here with your illustrious football career taking off?" Reign snarked.

"I came to see Ivy," Cameron replied. "I wanted to know what happened that night my mom died."

 Reign briefly subdued his smugness.

"Of course, we were about to fuck before you showed up," Cameron added.

 "Cameron!" I hissed.

With a victorious look, Cameron pecked me on the cheek, "I'll come by tomorrow."

Once Cameron left, I turned my attention back to Reign, who was less than pleased.

"Little young, isn't he?" Reign commented.

 "Fuck y-"

Reign passionately kissed me before I could finish. I wanted to shove him and tell him to get out, but I couldn't. I'm curious how I feel towards him. I haven't given it much thought since we last saw one another that night.

Reign has aged very well. He was even more handsome if that were even possible. The scruffy, faded beard that accentuated his strong jaw, he was more muscular and mature physically. Still, the way he held me was the same: tender and yet dominant.

He broke our kiss, pressing his thumb to my bottom li., "I missed these."

Greedily, he kissed me again while ripping my blouse open. He pulled one of my breasts free and began sucking on me.

"Ugh!" I cried out, gripping a thick clump of his luscious heart in my hand, "Reign!"

He lifted me atop the counter, my skirt rolling up to my hips.

 Knock. Knock. Knock.

"You gotta be fucking kidding me?!" I grunted in frustration.

 Knock. Knock. Knock.

"One second!" I hollered while trying to make myself presentable.

 Knock. Knock. Knock.

"I said, "One sec—Dimitri!" I exclaimed, "What the Hell are you doing here?"

"Reign didn't tell you?" Dimitri smirked.

 "Tell me what?!" I snapped.

"We wanted to come to see you," Dimitri clarified. "Something came across our desk, so to speak, and we weren't sure if it was true since we hadn't seen you in so long."

They know, the dark, slithering voice came into my head.

"Did you invest in us?" Dimitri asked.

My eyes widened. "That's right! I did!"

Their look of surprise at my reaction caused me to regain my composure.

 "Why?" Reign asked.

"When I sold Zeus's house, I already had more than enough money than I needed, and you both had to endure more than I ever had to from him," I explained. "It didn't feel right keeping it either. Zeus had already left me everything else."

"That's kind of you to invest ten million each," Dimitri clarified.

"The house sold for thirty-five million; what I didn't invest in you both, I invested in other things," I diverted.

"We saw your bar," Reign said. "We went there first, thinking you'd be at work."

"I'm on call, plus I needed a little time to myself," I lied.

"Right, it being your birthday and all," Dimitri added.

"Right," I sighed. The investment came with no strings attached. I wasn't expecting anything from you both. I closed the accounts because I forgot I opened them to begin with. Also, I extended the bar for the weddings I've been hosting there."

 "You hosting weddings?" Reign asked.

I firmly held my hips. "That's right."

 Ring. Ring. Ring.

 "Hello," I answered.

"Yes, Ivy. We need you back at the wedding reception. Your assistant went into labor and can't watch your son."

"I-I'll be right there," I stammered.

 Hopefully, they didn't hear that.

"My assistant went into labor, and I'm needed at the bar for the wedding reception," I fibbed. "I don't work tomorrow if you both want to see me.
