The station commander loosened his tie as he kept smacking the two officers and Detective Lander on the head without stopping. If not for his rising blood pressure and his age, he would've continued.
"Do you three have any idea what you've just done?!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the office. "Ugh! I swear, I'd keep smacking you senseless—you almost cost not just your jobs, but mine as well! How could you make an arrest like this without consulting me first? Have you all lost your damn minds?!"
The two officers kept their heads down, while the detective remained defiant, keeping his head raised.
"Chief, we were just questioning Miss Miller, but she was being aggressive," the detective defended himself. "If she had just answered our questions without freaking out, we wouldn't have been forced to cuff her—"
SMACK!
Before the detective could finish his sentence, another slap landed on his head.
