"So, these people are officially hired, huh?" Zoren held Penny in his arms as they idly lounged on the couch. His gaze remained on the résumés in her hand, which she was showing him.
Penny looked up at him. "What do you think of them?"
"Nothing," he replied before his dark eyes shifted to Patricia's résumé. "Although, I am surprised you ended up hiring Patricia Miller."
If it had been up to Zoren, Patricia would be gone—disappeared somewhere in the wild where no one could find her. After what she did to him months ago, he would've punished her far more severely. If not for Penny, that punishment would have already been carried out.
Surely, his wife make him a better person.
"I know, right?" Penny clicked her tongue, snapping her eyes to Patricia's profile. "But, well, I already meddled in her business, so I had no choice but to hire her in the end."
