Megan was downstairs, already waiting, but Brendan texted that he was there. Just as he paid the cab driver and proceeded to get the bags out, a hand out and helped him.
"Hi," Megan wheezed out as she grabbed the biggest bag of them all and put it on the road. "I was waiting for you."
She looks like a bouncing ball, with all the excitement she was withholding inside.
"Hello to you too. You picked up the biggest one of my bags. Here, if you want to take this one," he exchanged the smaller bag with her. "I'll take care of this one."
Megan picked it up and immediately looked satisfied with the weight. "oh, I can handle this. Seems much better."
"Hurry up, guys. I need to go home too." The taxi driver yelled from his window, making them both snap into action.
When the last bag was out, he closed the trunk and tapped on it without a second thought, the taxi driver squealed with his tires away.
"Yikes." Megan murdered underneath her breath. "He really couldn't wait."
