One
All Might moved his head away from the vacuum strike and landed a punch on All For One's chest.

Next, he tanked a light-based attack. Although it was fast enough that All Might's only chance of dodging it was predicting it beforehand, after it was shot, it was faster than anything he could muster up even if he were in his prime. But luckily, the attack lacked enough force to even wound him.

All Might was counting as each attack he launched was with full fury while remembering the day he lost his dear friend.
He remembered the first time he had seen Inazuma, the first time he had seen the potential within him—who, even as a child, had managed to defeat him in the aspect of speed. With all that raw power and potential, he had feared that the boy would get arrogant or go down the wrong path. His intelligence at a young age had slightly increased that fear as well.
But that child, in the end, proved him wrong. Every step he took can only be described as the path of a perfect hero.
He trained even though he had strength. He perfected himself so that he would make no mistakes while saving people. He chose a path in heroism focused on saving those who had to live in the dark. Unlike other heroes who liked to bathe in publicity while saving people, he rejected all of it and focused only on his mission. Even then, the darkness was not able to hide the light that he could be, which resulted in him earning the respect of every hero and every person who knew about him.
When All Might was about to give him One For All, he couldn't deny that he was a bit apprehensive. But when he was rejected, it felt like a hammer had hit his understanding of Inazuma. Out of everything he had expected anyone to do when they were offered One For All—when they were offered all that power—rejecting it straight to his face was not something he had anticipated. He had been disappointed that day that Inazuma had rejected him, but he also knew then that Inazuma would be one of the strongest heroes there is.
When he learned more about the child he had finally chosen as his successor, he learned about the influence Inazuma had on him. He was once again speechless at the magnanimity and mindset of the boy who did not even hesitate to support a person, even when that person was quirkless. Even All Might had disregarded the kid at first sight, thinking that not having a quirk would prevent him from ever achieving his dream of becoming a hero. He even had the audacity to think that it was his duty to make sure the boy abandoned that path so he could live a good life. Every time he remembered it, All Might wanted to go back in time and beat the crap out of himself.
He was lucky that Deku had gotten advice from Inazuma. When he had his friend investigate Deku later on—intensely and without hearing biased views from his quirkist teachers and surroundings—he was able to see that Deku was on the verge of committing suicide if not for the advice given to him by Inazuma that day.
Then later on, when he saw the kid remove the mask he had put on to protect his loved ones and the peaceful life he had, just so he could make a villain return to the right path with his words alone, he realized he had been mistaken in his assumptions.
Enmado Inazuma would not be just a hero who would leave a prominent mark. He would carve a mountain so high in the sky for those in the future aiming to be the top of the world. And All Might knew deep down that no matter how much he tried now—even if he had his prime body—he would never come close to even half of that mountain the boy was going to carve.
And on that fateful day at I-Island, he saw the boy vanish right in front of his eyes. With his perception, All Might had seen the explosion that was about to happen. If he had been in his prime, he would have been able to jump that high and hurl him with his full strength far enough that the explosion would not have hit even a single person on the island.
But reality was too cruel. Staying in his full muscle form for all those hours, even if all he did was stand still, had taken a greater toll on him than he had thought, and he was unable to move even an inch, even when he mustered his full power. He had to watch as the strongest of the next generation vanished.
And today, reality struck him again. He was in his skinny form, powerless, as he watched All For One panting with exhaustion. He had fought a good battle, almost better than before, and even All For One was not using the variety of quirks he had used previously. But even then, his body was unable to hold on.
He looked from the corner of his eye, seeing a girl stuck in the debris of a building, begging him to hold on—the one who had motivated him to fight—but he was unable to. And All For One had seen her as well, which led to him using her to strike at All Might, causing him to lose his power quickly.
"Sentiment, All Might—it was always the weakness of you heroes. After losing your greatest asset, you should have used your full strength to take care of me here and now, but your concern for that woman you don't even know about has made you lose today," All For One gloated, and he turned toward the civilian to mock her further, emotionally destroying All Might and many others who might be watching TV right now.
But he stopped. The girl had vanished. He was surprised.
'Did the heroes' reinforcements reach here this quickly? But I had made sure to increase the number of Nomus I had to ensure they didn't appear too soon.'
As he was about to think more about it, he stopped—and so did All Might—as they saw something in the place where the girl had been a moment before. Most would have missed it, and even they would have under normal circumstances, but at that moment, they saw it.
A red spark of lightning that appeared and vanished, as if the residual effects were happening really slowly, as if reality itself wasn't fast enough to react to it.
Both of them had the same thought, even though it brought out different emotions.
'He's back.'
