Angelika's POV
I was sitting at the window while holding a book in my hand. I leaned back and closed my eyes.
It's been ten days since I came home from being hospitalized. I keep my door closed to Prince Alexander and tell my dad that I'm recuperating.
He didn't come over for the last five days. I wonder why. I stare at the book, and his face suddenly flashes on the page. I close the book and shake my head.
"What am I thinking?!" I exclaimed. I stood up. I was about to grab another book when I heard a knock.
"Just open the door, Dad. It's not locked," I remarked.
I tiptoed and was trying to reach the box I kept on the highest part, above the stack of books.
"Are you insane? Why are you reaching that high? What if books will fall on your head? Have you forgotten what she did to your head?"
I was frozen when I heard his baritone voice. He was standing behind me and reached the box I was trying to take. I gulped and didn't make a single move. I thought it was Dad!
