Kalix Noah's POV
I was stunned because of the coldness that I saw in Kassandra's eyes. She's telling me to back off or else she'll get madder. All of us were stunned because of it.
"Let's not make it worse. I promise to come back a day before the wedding. I promise. I have to go," she utters. I shake my head and give her the opposite answer.
"No. I don't want you to leave when you're clearly mad at me. I admit, I went overboard that time. Those words had shattered your heart, and I misunderstood you either. So please... don't leave."
She shoves away my hand. She continues to give me that stern expression.
"I thought we understood each other either, Kalix, but I was wrong. You made things worse. I really thought I was…"
She halts and shakes her head. "I have to go now. I don't want to reach the training ground at night.
"I'm sorry. I need space, everyone."
"Kassandra, can we talk about this? Maybe you can leave later or tomorrow morning," Mom whispered.
