Mumbai…
Port Side Police Station…
"I didn't do anything." A swift reply came from the corner. Vikram Das replied calmly while staring into the eyes of inspector Myra.
The statement sent a ripple through the officers. Murmurs broke out. Myra clenched her fists, her blood boiling.
"Liar!" she snapped, stepping forward with fury in her eyes. "Do you think this is a joke? Do you think you can fool the law?"
Her hand shot out, ready to strike Vikram across the face.
But before her palm could connect, another hand caught her wrist mid-air.
Lily Frost.
A dangerous silence fell.
Lily's grip was firm, her blue eyes cold and resolute. "Touch my husband and I will make sure you regret it." she said in a quiet, menacing tone.
Myra's jaw tightened. "You're protecting a murderer?"
"I'm protecting my man and unless you have solid proof, you're just throwing around baseless accusations. I will file a case on you for falsely accusing my husband." Lily shot back.
