Erica and Fire moved on to their work while I finished dressing myself. By the time I was finishing I felt an urge to see Max rising in me. I quickly exited the bath house and made my way to the main house.
I didn't see anyone else about walking or working. That was odd enough. But it was also oddly quiet. I couldn't really focus on that feeling of what was wrong with the Williams pack.

I needed to make a move fast. I hurried into the house making my way upstairs to the bed room and walking quickly to the door that led to the Night farm. I went through the door closing it behind me. I walked out of my room and headed out and down stairs without speaking to anyone until I found myself standing between Max as he stared at his semi-automatic pistol in a trance. The pistol seemed to glow in his hand and the nose was aimed at him head.
I felt someone moving behind me. "Stay back!" I said.
The person behind me froze in place at my command.
