On the surface, it seemed like the crises had been averted and everyone believed things had settled down. I also thought that way but today's sudden visit shattered the peaceful illusion.
I frowned at the weary looking young man who was a far cry from his usual self. He had faint eye bags and his dark eyes were devoid of their usual sparkle.
"What's wrong?"
He sighed softly and at that moment it seemed like he had aged a thousand years. His usual playful demeanor was covered up by the gloomy atmosphere emanating from him.
"I want to quit"
I was silent for a while and looked at him. He was serious.
"No"
He looked at me with slight puzzlement
"Boss?"
