The car finally entered the Mu Family's old mansion, and as soon as they reached the main gate, Suxin was stunned. There were two guards dressed in military uniforms standing on either side of the gate, holding long rifles, standing upright without moving an inch.
Just from this display, Suxin could tell that the background of the Mu Family was far from as simple as she had initially imagined. Her grandfather was probably not a common soldier, and his position must have been quite high, otherwise, it wouldn't be possible for retired guards to still be armed.
The car followed a tree-lined path and took two turns before stopping in front of a Chinese-style villa.
"Get out, my grandfather must be waiting already." Mu Haotian opened the car door and took the child from Suxin's hands, "Remember what I just told you, don't slip up."
"Got it, I have a good memory!"
