Not until the senior walked far away did she snap out of her stupor, then she shouted towards his retreating figure, "Thanks a lot."
She pulled out her wallet to check and let out a long sigh of relief, thankful that the senior hadn't seen the photo in her money clip, a 'group photo' with the senior.
Every following Sunday, she would always loiter around outside the company where the senior worked, deliberately dressing provocatively. Yet, she never encountered robbers again, let alone the once-in-a-lifetime meeting with the senior.
On this particular Wednesday, she felt unwell, so she took a sick leave and went back home, only to run into her parents arguing. This time, she heard clearly that their argument seemed to be about another woman.
After her father left, she entered her mother's bedroom and saw her mother sitting on the bed, crying. Her heart twisted in pain, too.
"Mom, does Dad have another woman outside?"
