Standing on the stairs and watching Li Hannian's car approach, Wen Shining raised her wrist to check the time, her lips curling into a cold smile.
The car stopped downstairs, and as Li Hannian emerged from the back door, Wen Shining walked to the mirror, gazed at her reflection, and gently wiped the corner of her lips with her fingertip.
Wen Shining did not go downstairs immediately but waited in front of the mirror instead.
It wasn't until the house servant came up the stairs and gently knocked on her bedroom door that Wen Shining remained standing in front of the mirror without moving.
"Miss, Mr. Li has arrived."
"Prepare some tea and snacks for Assistant Wen Han, then lead Mr. Li to the upstairs small parlor. I'll wait for him there."
"Yes!"
The house servant turned to go downstairs, and only then did she leave the bedroom to make her way to the small parlor, taking the prepared juice and snacks out of the fridge and setting them on the table.
